when someone is drilling holes under their seat, what can you do to your family's seats to keep the life boat from sinking?

nothing

.

380 children died of measles in the last year before vaccination, when 0% of children were vaccinated
1,380 children died of COVID in the last year, when 33% of children were vaccinated
COVID was the fifth leading cause of death for children in the last year
and unlike measles, not enough children will be vaccinated to reach herd immunity against COVID

when someone is drilling holes under their seat, most people just want to not get involved, look away, live their own lives
so your best bet is to put a life jacket on your child and hope someone comes to the rescue
so it's important to know when specifically that will be
so it bears looking at how bad COVID has been for children in the past
specifically from february 2021 to january 2022, with the dashed black line below
deaths for the four leading causes of death of children are shown for reference

nothing

COVID was by far the leading cause of death for children (https://data.cdc.gov/Case-Surveillance/COVID-19-Case-Surveillance-Public-Use-Data/vbim-akqf/data) for a month, and we did nothing
logically, many more children will die before we do something
certainly over a thousand children dying in a month
probably over a thousand children dying in a week
the best option a parent has is to hope their child isn't among them

many will declare that those children mostly had preexisting conditions and comorbidities
out of the 584 children who died in that horrific january,
13 had medical conditions reported to the CDC
13 out of 584 isn't any "most" i've ever heard of

omicron fundamentally and massively changed the dangers faced by children
in july of 2022, 106 children died of COVID
in july of 2021, 14 children died of COVID
a respiratory illness is the fifth leading cause of death for children in JULY
we know they don't get better when school starts
we know they get much worse

.

a life jacket doesn't make it impossible for someone to drown
but it beats all h*ck out of not having one

.

COVID is done. Time to freak out about monkeypox instead, Latrin.

Looking back, it looks like Latrinsorm was struck down by a debilitating case of Hoofdaphobia.. manifesting at the end of last year.

Want to talk about what triggered that, Latrinsorm?

We need to take Latrin to a bar one day.

Or a strip club, for extra lolz.

One of my favorite things in life is listening to people that have no children give advice to people that have children.

I think they had a PC meetup once a long time ago. Latrin went.

Biden said COVID is over now, so you can go back to buying cold cuts.

Didn't glaze over it at all.. I barely read it the first time.. read it this time.. seemed to be cry for attention that his parents are actually trying to parent him for the first time in his life and now he's even more upset.

Has anyone been in contact with Latrinsorm in the past 2 months? This was his last post here.

Did he OD on his 15th booster shot?
