Now we will have 15x gear. If only all this mentally unstable player money went back into the game instead of going to investor's pockets, I would be less upset about this crap.

Say your prayers, little one, don't forget, my son
To include everyone
I tuck you in, warm within, keep you free from sin
'Til the Sandman, he comes
Sleep with one eye open
Gripping your pillow tight
Exit light
Enter night
Take my hand
We're off to never-never land
Something's wrong, shut the light, heavy thoughts tonight
And they aren't of Snow White
Dreams of war, dreams of liars, dreams of dragons' fire
And of things that will bite, yeah
Sleep with one eye open
Gripping your pillow tight
Exit light
Enter night
Take my hand
We're off to never-never land
Yeah-yeah
Now, I lay me down to sleep (now, I lay me down to sleep)
Pray the Lord my soul to keep (pray the Lord my soul to keep)
If I die before I wake (if I die before I wake)
Pray the Lord my soul to take (pray the Lord my soul to take)
Hush, little baby, don't say a word
And never mind that noise you heard
It's just the beast under your bed
In your closet, in your head
Exit light
Enter night
Grain of sand
Exit light
Enter night
Take my hand
We're off to never-never land (yeah)
Oh! Yeah-yeah, no
We're off to never-never land
Take my hand
We're off to never-never land
Take my hand
We're off to never-never land
We're off to never-never land
We're off to never-never land
We're off to never-never land

I'm actually surprised they're not selling off:

+X for SMR defense to add to armors and shields.

SMR is the killer for a lot of folks, the raised ceiling for DS to hit a 15x (+75) is....well, is stupid. I guess the only real reason for this is to allow the higher enchantment to work in spell sever and/or divergence areas. It makes sense, tank spells folks use for protection and now they don't hunt these areas because they can get steamrolled, so they offer a stupid band-aid fix for the problem and hope to make bank off the stupid people.

"instead of going to investor's pockets"

Bro pretty sure it all goes into Wyrom's pockets. Only exceptional businesses have more than token profits (the rest of the business end up using all their revenue for staff...), its econ 101, and pretty sure gemstone iv fits more into the ordinary businesses rather than the exceptional.

What always blows my mind too, is you pay money to WORK for your BS! Hell, I get like 5k BS in and I'm like "What a pain in the ass! Didn't I PAY for this?!"

But man, I won't be surprised if they have a harbor full of whales queuing to get hooked up to the new milk machine. Half of them are probably already lactating over this announcement!

I suggested allowing players to enchant items past 10x by requiring a lot of suffuse.

Glad to see they took my suggestion but put it behind a paywall.

Simu is entering the FOMO stage.

Simu is drunk and instead of calling it quits on the drinks, are just saying eff it, and are getting wasted.

And now we get to deal with all the vomit.

They take away AS and DS from spells via spell sever then introduce a way to get +25 DS and AS permanently, but only if you pay them.

Then in a few years they will say 15x gear is too powerful and they won’t be allowed in all future hunting areas.

Create the problem, sell the solution. It's an old and well-proven strategy.

Non-permanent additions (unlimited quantities):
+5 TD up to +50 - 300,000

I don't usually have much to say about p2w stuff as it doesn't really have much effect on the community as a whole, but given the introduction of divergence this specifically is just flat out taking advantage of people. Nerfing for balance of the overall health of the game I'm definitely on board with, but then offering to return what you nerfed as a long you pay for it really is immoral.

Honestly, they have always had immoral business practices. From not telling their customers when their account data got hacked several years ago, their hiring practices, to their "exclusion not inclusion" customer baiting.

At this point it's nobodies fault but their miniscule customer base that continues to pay for a subscription.

Wyrom needs to make his numbers since last DR was a fiasco.

Well, I have a feeling the dev GMs are as pissed at this as we are, actually. They are trying to make things more balanced, and then the carpet gets pulled out from underneath them.

Probably not in absolute terms. If you said a 35+ year old text RPG made even $1 in revenue in 2022 you'd boggle the average person's mind.

But it seems during the sales negotiations Simu represented some ability to generate revenue growth (whether they were overconfident in their own ability to make a revenue game or knew there was still a lot to milk in their customer base, or both), and it created that expectation from Stillfront. So when there's a "stagnant" quarter (0 revenue growth) they start to ask questions. It's difficult to get off that revenue train once you're on it.

Do we know the revenue from last DR? Was it worse than previous DRs?

I'm not trying to be snarky, I truly don't know the answers to these questions and I'm curious.
