Seriously, what the heck?
I've been having a hell of a time selling some of my services this week, mostly wizard and ranger services.
Is the market saturated? Everyone saving up for the silver auction? Does everyone just hate me? Something else? HALP!

I’m chalking it up to the anticipation of the silver auction. But I agree, hard to sell much of anything right now!

Silvers auction anticipation. Also, service pricing has tried to remain static as silvers climb in cost, making the deals available less appealing right when folks were tightening the purse strings for the auction anyway.

consider in the idea that maybe you could get a new project to spend silver on... so you probably have some people hanging out in the corner waiting to convert silver back to bs.. for those things.

I think part of it is def people hoarding silvers in advance of the silvers auction. Sales in my shop have been slow for the last month even though folk would normally have snatched up my perfects as project pieces for DR by now.
As far as services, I can see both ranger and wizard ones being saturated at the moment. High level enchanting demand seems to peek during/after DR runs when folk have just gotten scripted items that need more skill, though low level demand will prolly pick up after the silver auction when folk shift their focus to preparing whatever perfects they buy for DR. Ranger resistance items are still pretty new, but it wasn't particularly difficult to get those resistances one way or another prior to them, so most that had to have them prolly got them already.

I agree with what everyone else has been saying in relation to hoarding silvers for the auction (which I find silly because most people that have an average amount of silvers aren't really going to be able to buy much).
While not empirical data, my playershops have also seen slow business over the past month.

I'm sure someone will pull a Nazagor, show up with 200m thinking they're going to clean up and be sorely sorely disappointed.

I expect 200m will be more than enough to buy loads of stuff, if you're not looking for high-end mechanical items. Look at the RW auction that just happened - everything went for under 200m equivalent, and most stuff went for under 50m equivalent. Granted, it was largely fluffy, but the premium auction is said to have a bunch of fluff too.
But I agree that the mechanical stuff will be stupid expensive. Personally I'm mostly curious to see what the really high bids are. How much silver are people sitting on??

One person was (is?) selling 1.8 billion not too long ago. I imagine some people will show up to this thing with several billion silvers. Hopefully someone jots it all down because I too am curious.

I wouldn't expect things to go much differently than the 2020 silvers auction, where close to half the items went for less than 100m. The stuff the whales were interested in went for stupid prices in the hundreds of millions to over a billion while most of the rest went for reasonable prices... at least a few items ending up being a good deal compared to what one would pay at DR. Here's the list from that auction: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1aHY0zTQuesCqkeqte8lekXk-jjPM9RppiGkShpLbZM4/edit#gid=996037780

Only 50 items? I thought these auctions sold more stuff to be honest. Maybe this one will be bigger.
Everytime I try to buy T2 - T5 the prices vary MID service and I can't keep up. I just wanted a price to pay so I know what to expect but its so nebulous with sellers.
EG: ''selling T5 2m''
That's not 2m for the service that's one pour. Then you bring 2m to the next pour and they say it's 4m. So I expect the rest of the payments to grow exponentially? No one ever says this is what it will cost for the entire range of pours you'll need.
And someone DID say I can do it all for 10m and mid pour the girl said this pour will cost 10m on T3 out of T5 while the armour was in her hands.
I just don't get it. I mentioned it on Discord and some guy went beserk about every profession has a monthly coin generator except rogues so I dipped out and just put all my armours back in the locker, fixskilled up to 120.
Btw this isn't me complaining about professions like the guy in Discord. I'm happy to pay whoever, whatever.
My point is I just gave up as people just throw out whatever number they want in my limited experience with no warning whatsoever.
I probably could have just said that to begin with and saved your eyes the effort haha. I'm rambling again right now. ZIP

I think a lot of people are confused about how services work and the costs associated with it all. I tried to clarify things in my sales messages but I think I just ended up confusing people even more. If you're ever confused feel free to send me a message here or in game and I can help explain it.
I think it's easier to go by cost per point, but other than wizards people go by cost per week, the "per week" is how many points they can earn in a week, which is 50,000.
The amount of points required for services (again except for wizards) is as follows:
T1: 50,000/1 week
T2: 75,000/1.5 weeks
T3: 100,000/2 weeks
T4: 125,000/2.5 weeks
T5: 150,000/3 weeks
T6: 200,000/4 weeks (currently only clerics have a T6 service)
So when someone says they are selling their service for 2m/week you multiply 2m by the weeks mentioned above, so for example:
T1: 1 * 2m = 2m
T2: 1.5 * 2m = 3m
T3: 2* 2m = 4m
T4: 2.5 * 2m = 5m
T5: 3 * 2m = 6m
Once you remember the point costs are 50k/75/100k/125k/150k, I find it easier to just break it down by per point cost and multiply by the needed points. So 2m/week is 40 silvers per point, so a T2 would be 40*75,000. But maybe that's just me.

Although I already understood it, looking at Dreaven's math does make more sense than how my brain was working it. That should be a clear explanation of it in very a simple way.

So you're saying there's a chance?
Also, I have no silvers left anymore after RW and buying a mount.

I've personally put most of my other service purchases on hold while I work on sanctifying stuff, to lock in cheaper/easier sancts first
