Made my way past the scarab wall to Southern Silithus and to the temple there. The place is massive, easily bigger than MC and BRD, and some of the chambers were about half the size of Ironforge. This place will probably end up being a post-Molten Core area, as apparently the legitimate way inside requires you getting a bunch of *legendary* drops from Molten Core, combining them, and doing a whole bunch of stuff to open the wall. Took a whole bunch of screenshots while I was there.

That place is a 40 man raid instance called Ahn'Qiraj .


Ahn'Qiraj - Little is known of the ancient kingdom of Ahn'qiraj, save for scattered legends concerning its creators-the enigmatic sorcerers known as the Qiraji. Night Elf tales abound of the Qiraji's strange hold over the insect like sillithid - and their symbiotic link with the terrifying race. It's become clear that the Qiraji are stirring once again behind the sand blasted walls of thier kingdom. the Sillithid have begun to amass in the southern regions of kalimdor. None know what vast evil might spew forth if the gates of Ahn'Qiraj were ever breached.

The gates of Ahn'Qiraj can only be opened by a mighty, player-driven quest. Once the gates are open, the spoils of Ahn'iraj will be available for any on the server who can rise to the challenge. This will be a full-bown raid zone, tuned for 40 players of maximum lvl. Encounters will be varied in the zone, with some taking place on the sprawling sand of this once epic city, and others taking place deep within the hive tunnels.

That's Hyjal, and the entrance is in Winterspring. You'll need to die in a specific area and then spirit walk through a gate and rezz on the other side.

Would have been more than enough people assuming we weren't almost all first-timers, and we had more than 2 priests, and 2 mages.

For a first time raid with only 30 people, we did excellent. The first time one of our mages fucked up and forgot that she was on whelp duty. The second time we got her about halfway through stage 2, but she let loose with a deep breath, and that was that.

I think it'll only take one or two more tries before she's taken down. I probably won't be able to go next Saturday, since it's July 4th weekend, and I may have some family stuff to suffer through.

best part about WoW you can be on all the servers.

My real advice to you is to pick a low pop server create 5 alliance on one and 5 whorde on the other.

which one you play the most is your profession and faction.

then pick a server or stay where you are

Alternatively, play with friends. Anticor and Drayal both have plenty of friends on the AD and Dunemaul servers. On AD they have friends who are alliance and horde, on Dunemaul they have friends who are horde and they know you on Alliance.
Playing with people you know makes the difference, IMO.

Hitting print screen automatically saves it into a screenshots folder in the WoW directory, as a tga file. Just get a free image viewer like Irfanview and it'll convert it, unless you happen to have something that can already do it.

Also, when you hit the {printscreen} button the picture is saved to your clipboard as well. So if you open Photoshop, MS Picture Viewer, MS Paint, or any picture program and then {CTRL+V} to paste it, it will be there for you to alter/save.

Me dancing in Hammerfall. Probably one of the coolest times I've had in WoW. Me (46 paladin), a ~38 mage, ~36 rogue and Tayre (39 priest) pwned all over the hammerfall guardians for a while. Then a 45 druid decided to get involved and got killed like 5 times. A 37 mage also tried to do some damage and failed. This is right before we had to run away, because that level 40 SOMEONE tried to attack called about a bojillion guards.

So, Alterac Valley spawned for the first time in weeks on Argent Dawn, and I was fortunate enough to squeak in. The sides were evenly matched throughout most of event, 40 vs. 40. Horde started leaving once we entered their base, though.

This was the score once we killed Drek'thar. I don't have as many killing blows as the mage that was in first, but I have more HK's (I had the most,) and I had 2 leaders killed, defended a graveyard, and took a tower. And I wasn't even there for the entire match.

#1 My very first Molten Core fire blossom damage :). And that's a nice one.

#2 First look at Majordomo Executus. Group some of us Argent Dawn people are raiding with is aiming to be the first non-guild (pickup sorta) to take down Ragnaros.

#3 Onyxia Death #1 for a bunch of us. Got her the second try.

#4 There's a plant in Felwood that you can cleanse with a salve. Gives you a pretty decent buff for an hour, 5% crit increase and +15 to all stats. Little did I know you can resist buffs.... grrr....

It was a huge surprise when Tayre said he got it, actually having a useful epic drop is kinda rare. Not to mention those Robes sell for 300-500g when they're put up for sale. As I told Tayre, he ain't no cheap ho anymore :).

Long-ass questline from Tirion Fordring ends with a bit of disguisework. It decided to turn me into a male scarlet :O. Biggest pain about this is you can't mount up while disguised, or loot (if I remember right). You get to see Tirion come kick some ass though at the end, lots of fun.

You can loot if you attack the mobs first. When my husband did this quest there were a group of chinese farmers that stayed ahead of us. They would attack the mobs and simply wait for Highlord to come finish them off.

Yeah, I had a pair of farmers following me the whole way tagging mobs. What I meant about the looting thing though, was that it broke the disguise before I took if off for the escort. Pretty sure that my first trip there I fought a mob near Andorhal and looting it broke the scarlet outfit, so I had to go get it again. And yeah...like most everything else, the robes are skanky as hell on females :rolleyes:. Although I think I'm glad they don't make them as revealing on males, that might be a little too creepy :).

Seriously though, I fucking hate ninjas. I did UBRS for the first time yesterday with my higher level character on Tichondrius and a nice piece of mail and plate dropped from one of the bosses. I pass on the plate and I made it known I wanted to roll on the mail. What do you know, everyone starts leaving the instance and I'm like what about the effin' mail? The guy who has it says, "well, 5 other people said I could have it so I just took it." I'm like fuck you, do I look like 5 other people jackass? I got ninja'd so many times at SM is wasn't funny. Since it was midlevel instance I think people figured they could get away with it with less retaliation. That and 95% of the people I've done lower instances with are complete instance morons and kiddies. As the complexity goes up the instances tend to filter out the noobs on their own.

There is some hatred going on between the rogues in my guild and golemagg. After an estimated 35+ kills he's only dropped 1 nightslayer chest. The last 4 drops off him have been the same too.
Warrior chest, warlock chest, blastershot rifle. We've even had different raid leaders but no luck.

Erm...not much new. Krol Blade, epic bracers from WSG. Lobotomizer and Don Julio's band from AV. Nightslayer belt and leggings from MC. I'm top rogue in DKP, and have been for awhile, but I keep passing on alot of stuff (NS bracers, boots, gloves, gutgore ripper).

With the speed changes to weapons, I'm now going to hold out for a Brut Blade to replace my Krol, and hopefully get the first Core Hounds Tooth that drops from Domo's chest. Only thing I'll spend my DKP before those two items drop may be the NS Chest piece from Golemagg.

By Monday I should have two new epics, the purple cloak and the epic shoulders from Arathi Basin exhalted rep. (The shoulders are really nice.)

I'm so broke on dkp it's not even funny. Just spend most of my points on bloodfang bracers ( 3 set item bonus rocks). Only thing I can hope to get anytime soon is the claw weapon from Firemaw, I don't think anyone else wants it as much as me.

As an update, we (Dunemaul gang) did defeat Majordomo last weekend, after a number of unsuccessful attempts... We didn't have the fire resist gear to try for Rag though.

Fire resistance is key on that fight, especially for the main tanks, who should have over 300 FR.

First and only attempt on Rag was about 67% I think. Sons of Flame wiped us out quick.

we too are lacking in the FR department, but we're working on it, give us a few weeks, We'll be farming the sorry Lord of Fire.
