Hi All,

I have been putting off completing this task for years. I finally recognize that sigil of escape would be really useful these days. So I think its finally time for me to complete this GoS task.

I have 2 characters (separate accounts) in GoS who need to complete this task. One is 91 one is 69.

I have not really done any warcamps before so I'm kind of a newb to the mechanics. I know a little bit but its still sort of a mystery to me how it works with the instanced stuff, and how razing a camp works etc.

Should I:

Wipe the whole warcamp with my 91 wiz and then bring my 69 ranger, group up, and raze to get them both credit?

Do i need to keep like 1 mob alive or something for my ranger to get credit? How do i know when the warcamp is fully cleared and safe to bring in my lowby?

I am at Teras, is that bad?

Thanks for any advice,

You need 5 kills in a camp to get credit for razing it. For big level disparities (where you want your low level character to get the credit), typically you'd want to wipe the camp down to 5 left and then leave the camp with your high level character and let the alarm die down and all the guards/Grims depopulate (takes a few minutes), then bring your lowbie in there to kill the last 5 or so and raze it. If you don't let it depop first, then the Grims can spawn anywhere between the level of the person who set off the alarm (and/or is still in the camp) and the lowbie who walked in.

For your 91 + 69, you could probably just bring it down to 5 and just bring the ranger in and kill the last 5 together, just make sure your ranger gets in on the kills. If they spawn on the higher range though, they could be pretty tough.

edit: Sigil of Location is what finds the camps, and when you're inside one it tells you how many are left alive.

Awesome thanks for the tips. In the second scenario, i assume both would get credit for the raze? What quantifies as getting credit for the 5 kills? I always find kill credit tricky to figure out. I think you need to do a certain %age of damage? Like it's not enough for my ranger to hit for 10hp and get kill credit right? I can always incapacitate with my wiz and let my ranger swing away, he swings a claidhmore so I guess it should be doable. However I also find hard-hitting crits dont always get you credit, so it seems purely hp damage %age basedd?

What i dont want is to spend an hour or whatever working on a camp, and my ranger for some reason does not get credit on one of the 5 kills and therefore doesnt get raze credit. Since i dont have alot of time (hence why this took me so long to consider devoting a few hours to). Hence why i'm researching here how it works so i dont fuck it up and waste time.

As long as your ranger does damage to 5 of them before they die, that's credit for the kills. If the wizard doesn't leave the camp long enough for the alarm to die down and the grims/guards to depop, then they'll both get credit when you raze it, just make sure they're both inside when you raze it.
