Which song best fits your character? Please only one song, and post lyrics or why if it's an instrumental -- k? Thanks :)
I used to hunt down in Wyneb to this song, back when my PC solo'd exclusively. High energy.
Parabola
by Tool (Track 7 on Lateralus)
We barely remember
Who or what came before
This precious moment;
We are choosing to be here
Right now.
Hold on.
Stay inside...
This holy reality,
This holy experience.
Choosing to be here in...
This body.
This body holding me.
Be my reminder here
That I am not alone;
In this body,
This body holding me,
Feeling eternal
All this pain is an illusion.
This holy reality,
In this holy experience.
Choosing to be here in...
This body.
This body holding me;
Be my reminder here
That I am not alone
In this body,
This body holding me,
Feeling eternal...
All this pain is an illusion...
Of what it means to be alive
Swirling round
With this familiar parable.
Spinning, weaving round
Each new experience.
Recognize this as a holy gift
And celebrate this...
Chance to be alive and breathing
Chance to be alive and breathing.
This body holding me
Reminds me of my own mortality.
Embrace this moment.
Remember.
We are eternal.
All this pain is an illusion.

It varies a lot...
My warrior's mainly death metal, with a touch of rap...White Zombie, KMFDM, Mystikal, Nas, T.I, Biggie, NiN, Tool, 36 Mafia, Ludacris, Chino XL
My archer is RnB and techno...ATB, Underworld, Orbital, R. Kelly, James Brown, Ms. Dynamite, Blu Cantrell, Mary J Blige
My Golden Hawk is jaunty synthesizer classical, ala A Clockwork Orange
Specific songs come and go.

Funny this should be mentioned.. Kasia's player and I exchange songs all the time... they seem to describe how our characters feel about a situation a lot better than we can sometimes. It's quite fun listening to a song and feeling like it's being sung for/at your characters. Unfortunatly, most of the songs we pick are rather sad, so we always end up bummed out that they can't be together. Oh well..
I think the last song for Tayre was "Help me understand" by Trace Adkins. It's country, it's lame, but it fit at the time.
Edit: Oh yeah, Lyrics...
Once in a lifetime
You'll open up your heart
Maybe once in your lifetime
You'll swear to never be apart
You think your love's on solid ground
Then out of the blue, it all comes tumblin' down
Who's gonna hold me tonight
When I'm feeling lonely
Who's gonna show me the light
'Cause I need to know
With all the things we've go
How can love just stop
Tell Me
Somebody help me understand
And my picture in your locket
What will you do with it now
All our friends and all our memories
Tell me how we sort them out
What's yours is yours
What's mine is mine
Is that all that's left
After all this time
Who's gonna hold me tonight
When I'm feeling lonely
Who's gonna show me the light
'Cause I need to know
With all the things we've go
How can love just stop
Tell Me
Somebody help me understand
Help me understand
Why I'm not part of our plan
And you don't need me anymore
Help me understand
Why I still wanna be where you are
Even though I know in my hear
You don't love me anymore
Who's gonna hold me tonight
When I'm feeling lonely
Who's gonna show me the light
'Cause I need to know
With all the things we've go
How can love just stop
Tell Me
Somebody help me understand

Single song for my Archer...
NiN, "Into the Void" off The Fragile
Tried to save myself but myself keeps slipping away
Talking to myself all the way to the station
Pictures in my head of the final destination
All lined up
(All the ones that aren’t allowed to stay)
Tried to save myself but myself keeps slipping away
Tried to save a place from the cuts and the scratches
Tried to overcome the complications and the catches
Nothing ever grows and the sun doesn’t shine all day
Tried to save myself but myself keeps slipping away
Tried to save myself but myself keeps slipping away

One of the main songs from the broadway play Jekhal and hyde (I know I butchered the spelling but you know what it is damnit). Song is called "This is the moment"
It's about everything coming together, and things working out love, life, etc. I'll post the lyrics when I find it. But for whatever reason I think that's the musical version of Anticor 90% of the time. When I'm hunting it's more like Iron Man but you get the idea

Funny you should say that. I was going to pick Stinkfist, but I didn't feel like explaining how I take the song more to be that one person in it is so lost as to actually want to be close enough to the other to crawl inside literally.

My warrior Maggas lives by the song Tommy the cat by Primus.
"I remember as it were a meal ago"
Said Tommy the Cat as he reeled back to clear whatever foreign
matter may have nestled its way into His mighty throat.
Many a fat alley rat had met its demise while staring point
blank down the cavernous barrel of this awesome prowling machine.
Truly a wonder of nature this urban predator.
Tommy the cat had many a story to tell,
but it was a rare occasion such as this that he did.
"She came slidin' down the alleyway like butter drippin' off a hot biscuit.
The aroma, the mean scent, was enough to arouse suspicion in
even the oldest of Tigers that hung around the hot spot in those days.
The sight was beyond belief. Many a head snapped for double
even triple, takes as this vivacious feline made her her way into the
delta of the alleyway where the most virile of the young tabbys were
known to hang out. They hung in droves. Such a multitude of
masculinity could only be found in One place... and that was
O'malley's Alley. The air was thick with cat calls (no pun intended)
but not even a muscle in her neck did twitch as she sauntered up into
the heart of the alley. She knew what she wanted. She was lookin'
for that stud bull, the he cat. And that was me.
Tommy the Cat is my name and I say unto thee...
Say baby do you wanna lay down by me"

Off the top of my head "Fuck You Like An Animal" by Nine Inch Nails
Poignant Verse:
You cant help my Isolation,
you cant help the hate that it brings.
You cant help my absence of faith.
You cant help my everything.
Kris na Su'ta
Hm, hard to decide... for Kuaike, it'd be Breathe by Prodigy or Du Riescht So Gut by Rammstein... The Rammstein song is the ultimate stalker/hunter song. It's got a great pulsing, animalistic beat. Here's a translation of the pertinent parts:
I find you
The track is fresh and onto the bridge
drips your sweat your warm blood
I don 't see you
I only smell you and I sense you
A predator that screams with hunger
I scent you for miles
You smell so good
I 'm coming after you
You smell so good
I'll find you
So good
I 'm coming after you
You smell so good
I'll have you shortly
It differs for Lysistrata, depending on which period of her life is being remembered. When she was much younger, it'd be Cool Baby by Plural and DJ HMX. These days, it's more likely to be something soft and smooth, with no words, or very few. The first three minutes of Mariachi Suite by Los Lobos would best fit her now.

One of the newer strongs that struck me as very Maimara-in-my-headish. It's by A Perfect Circle, called 'The Package'.
Clever got me this far
Then tricky got me in
I am what I'm after
I don't need another friend
Smile and drop the cliche
'Till you think I'm listening
I take just what I came for
Then I'm out the door again
Peripheral on the package
Don't care to settle in
Time to feed the monster
I don't need another friend
Comfort is a mystery
Crawling out of my own skin
Just give me what I came for
Then I'm out the door again
Lie to get what I came for
Lie to get just what I need
Lie to get what I crave
Lie and smile to get what's mine
I am what I'm after
I don't need another friend
Nod and watch your lips move
If you need me to pretend
Because clever got me this far
Then tricky got me in
I'll take just what I came for
Then I'm out the door again
Lie to get what I came for
Lie to get what I need now
Lie to get what I'm craving
Lie and smile to get what's mine
Give this to me
Mine, mine, mine
Take what's mine
Mine, mine, mine
Take what's mine
Mine, mine, mine
Lie to get what I came for
Lie to get what I need now
Lie to get what I'm craving
Lie to smile and get what's mine
Give this to me
Take what's mine
Mine, mine, mine
Take what's mine
Give this to me
