Not bad for throwing .22 at a target 10 yards in front of you. But as far as pissing him off... a firefight is 300x different a situation. The guy would probally piss his pants.

Well, first off if how do you know he's shooting a .22? I don't recall the caliber of the weapon being given. And if this is an IPSC event, then he's not allowed to even use a .22 caliber weapon to shoot.

From the IPSC websight;

In practical shooting, the competitor must try to blend accuracy, power, and speed, into a winning combination. Targets are 75 centimeters by 45 centimeters with a 15 centimeter center representing the "A zone" or bullseye. Most shooting takes place at close range, with rare shots out to 45 meters. Hitting a 15 centimeter A zone at 45 meters or less might seem easy to an experienced pistol shooter, but in IPSC only full power pistols are allowed (9mm or larger). This power minimum reflects the heritage of this modern sport, and mastering a full power handgun is considerably more difficult than shooting a light recoiling target pistol especially when the competitor is trying to go as fast as possible. Time, also plays a factor. In Comstock scored stages, the scores are divided by the time, adding to the challenge. Competitors may enter any one of five Divisions depending on the style of firearm they use.

As for a competition being a hell of a lot different than an actuall fight? Again, the IPSC attempts to make it as realistic as possible, this is not a "firing from the bench" sport, done in an air conditioned range in Beverly Hills.

Multiple targets, moving targets, targets that react when hit, penalty carrying targets mixed-in, or even partially covering shoot targets, obstacles, movement, competitive tactics, and, in general, any other relevant difficulty the course designer can dream up all combine to keep the competitors enthusiastic and the spectators entertained. While the rules of IPSC state that the course of fire should be practical and diversity is to be encouraged, to keep the sport from becoming too formalized or standardized. In fact, some matches even contain surprise stages where no one knows in advance what to expect.

So, my guess is, that in a real fight, this guy would be walking away, and someone else would be going to the morgue.

The .22 cal remark was sarcasm. The pistols used in speed shooting are highly modified with massive compesators which remove almost all recoil. With all the mods and special rounds it feels like you are shooting a .22 cal.

I am in no way putting down that mans ability as it is very impressive regardless. I'm jealous of his ability but more so of the fact he obviosly has much more time and money to practice which makes all the difference. I've competed off and on since 10th grade and find it a blast. Especially teh shotgun courses. The logos were not IPSC that I could tell. The round he was using was more than likely a .38 super.

As for the firefight I still call bullshit. Trained professionals frequently hit perps in teh shin or what have you when aiming at center mass. That is with a real carry pistol and a real round. Competition pistols are extremely unsuitable for carry and doing so will most certainly put YOU in the morgue.

Heck, who cares even if it's a .22?

Eight shots from ANY gun is going to put a downer on your day.

The most impresive part to me was the last clip where he reloaded and shot again. I was busy trying to see where the bullets were and boom, he was already shooting again. Neat stuff. :)

heh...sure...I can get off more rounds too...with a full-auto M-16... Now, with a revolver, I will still be firing off my first string while he is back in the stands taking a nap. And if it weren't for gravity, I doubt I could hit the ground with a revolver. Give me an' old M1911 .45 and I'm fine, wheelguns, forget it.

Regardles of a 40+ year old man's skills in a firefight, and even though he most likely has modifications out the ass, that was still very impressive.

I was hoping someone would eventually see the intended double entendre in stead of thinking I actually EVAR fired a weapon.

Came across another very impressive shooting video clip.

This guy works with a shotgun rather than a pistol but seems to get off just as many shots.

Another guy you don't want ticked off at you.

Yeah, but looks like some video editing got in the way of really seeing how he operates. Still impressed as hell, though.

Pretty impressive. A semi auto shotty is always lots of fun. I used to have a HK tactical and would chop small trees in half while camping with it. :spin:

Really not much to see.. it is a gas operated semi auto shotty. No "pumping" required. Awesome exhibition shooting however!

This just in!

Drayal fires fast and after a recent bicycle accident, does he fire blanks?

More news at 10!
