Any idea what's so special about this pendant?

I'm pretty sure I found this while digging, although it's possible I found it while hunting and it just got mixed in with the digging found stuff.

It doesn't appear to be anything special yet it has been permanently marked as unsellable.

Look description:
This pendant was carefully crafted for perfect union of color and form. The ivory at the heart of the pendant is replete with minute striations, which only serve to accentuate the perfect symmetry of the shield that it forms. It is surrounded on all sides by a deep, rich onyx, and assembled so perfectly that the seams are hidden from all but the most careful eye.

It is a holy item.
It is currently imbedded with the Prayer of Protection spell.
It does not have any charges left.
It could be activated by tapping it.
It will persist after its last magical charge has been expended.
It is a small item, under a pound.

It's just a fancy alter? Long + show. And the imagery suggests it's the symbol of Voln.

That's about all as far as I can tell too. Just weird that it has been permanently marked as unsellable, I've found other fancy alters before that weren't permanently marked.

I think legit symbols like that don’t pop up so much compared to like the symbols made doing 340. Niche audience but if you follow voln and have a cleric to 340 it that’s pretty neat

Does it have a use? Or is it just a shiny item to stand around town with and hope someone notices and is like "Oooooooooo!"?
