Would it be a good idea to 1x four (4) weapon skills to max out martial mastery rather than 2x two (2) weapon skills?
The training points required would be less.
Thanks!

I am game for more weapon types counting! Why not +25 for every 2x weapon type you know beyond the first.

Of the five (5) weapon skills that take 2/1 training points, which should I choose NOT to train in, leaving the other four (4) to train in?

Train in whatever you want that works for you. My main is THW, but chose brawling second for when i get disarmed/snaked during a berserk, then chose OHE third as that is what a lot of people need assessed. Or maybe I will use katars one day, who knows.

I would agree with this. Trian in something you think you might use. Plus, what self respecting warrior doesn't know how to throw a punch? Brawling training has the added benefit of providing some decent defense when your hands are empty. You may also choose a hybrid path and end up with something like OHE, Brawl, Hurling, or something like that. Or any one handed weapon plus TWC is also a nice combo, though not what you're talking about here.

think i'll 1x brawl (101 ranks) and go from there.
recently I tripled PF (303 ranks).
right now i'm busy raising MOC to 1x (101 ranks).

Not sure what the end goal is but there might be a reason to go for less or more MOC ranks.
Focused mstrike as breaks at 90/135, unfocused at 60/100/155. Unless you specifically want to be able to have 6 targets in a single mstrike then you might be able to save some points.

how many ranks of MOC would you recommend? This is for my post-cap character Ulaahn.
He swings spears and tridents with and without a shield.
Thanks!

I have 202 ranks on Lex because i am a completionist and no other reason than that. I think 190 ranks is the max you can get benefit from (6x focused mstrikes) without tons of asc/enhancives. I am a THW berserker 100% of the time.
I would recommend checking out the charts here, and look for a breakpoint that works for you. 100, 135, and 190 seems to be common ones.
