Anyone know how to get rid of all these symbols? It's distracting as shit to write notes or do anything in Word with this crap on it.

Have you tried using VIEW and then selecting NORMAL?

I remember having that issue once and that's how I fixed it.

Tools >> Options

Under Formatting Marks, turn off everything.

As I was looking how to turn that off.. I DID find watermarks which just look fucking so cool when you are printing some documents up.

Just for reference, that little symbol to the left of the 110% (looks kind of like a P) is what toggles that on and off.
