I set the filter to be from top free to lesser free

So; no surprise, the big scandinaves are flawless. Surprisingly, my dumb country has a 98% score, losing 1 point for Quebec law against religious icone (lol) and another 1 point against our treatment that are so so with our autochtones. So, I guess we're REALLY free even though we pay close to 50% taxes and 15% sales taxes.

----

AND SURPRISINGLY; the US of A, the freedom fighters, are at 83%, losing their major points with the "revolt" of the Capitol, the continuous racial fights and the heated "tension" between the 2 major political parties.

US of A score only 2/4 for
Does the government operate with openness and transparency?
Do laws, policies, and practices guarantee equal treatment of various segments of the population?

That begs me the question, maybe the concept of freedom has changed over the years. Having a full free status doesn't mean you're free if you can't afford anything. Maybe freedom now needs the boundaries of social nets such as universal healthcare and free scholarships?
