Give it another day or so to farm this out and I'll sell you about the same amount, but for much less folks.
#SorryNotSorryYouDeserveThis (also 100% legit that I'll be looking to sell about this much BS for a lower price very soon.)

I really don't understand all the comments of "hey this is more than everyone else blah blah blah" Let the man sell for what he wants, move on if you are not interested. The time it takes you to comment that is just silly. As is the time it takes me to put in this comment. We are all fools!

So far I'm in the hole. If I sold the rest of my BS for cost I would barely be making a profit, certainly not worth all of the time I have so far invested into DR.
This DR is just particularly boring. No one seems interested in it at all. I farmed the shit out of last DR and I actually enjoyed doing it, I found some orbs, a lot of bag parts, a lot of tokens, and a good amount of decent to good enhancive items.
Either the drop rates of all of the above have been severely downgraded this DR or I just had some extremely bad luck because I am finding hardly any orbs, bag parts, or tokens, and other than a handful of decent enhancive items they have all been lackluster at best.
It's like why bother?

Yeah but to be fair you could buy 25% WR unlocked climatewear cloaks for 25k and 1x day Fashlonae Gift for 10k. At todays rate for the same item (100k), 9 per was a deal.

Sheesh, I should have gotten in on the gravy train back then.
But to be fair wasn't it much harder to farm BS back then?
From what I recall there were no 3 man teams so no 300 BS per run. I think a perfect run was 250 and it was based on how fast you did it so you didn't get 250 every time, I think it was a lot more dangerous too. I'm pretty sure when you died you also lost all of your spells and your wounds weren't healed after every arena either.
It seems like they just completely streamlined the process so people could do as many runs as fast as possible.

Oh yeah and I'm pretty sure you didn't instantly get back all mana, spirit, and health after every arena run too. I could be misremembering a lot of this though.

Maybe DR is finally picking up. 610 people on at the moment, not too shabby for Wednesday at noon EST. This is just a few less people compared to Saturday during prime time.

I know last DR the drops seemed way more shitty and useless. I think I found maybe a handful of items worth reselling (which I never bothered to sell because I’m too lazy to post another auction thread), where the 2 DRs before it I probably made 100m+ from each just from auctioning stuff on here.
The regular treasure system is the same way. I rarely find anything enhancive anymore and when I do it’s almost always some useless shit like a runestaff with armor ranks or some shit. Pretty sure Estild or whoever turned that shit way down.
Estild doesn’t want anything good coming from anything that you’re not paying cash directly to Simu for. This is reinforced by Wyrom basically having to force GMs to create items for silver events because all they want to do is make items for cash instead.

I'm not seeing Wyrom's data but I'm 100% convinced he took a gamble and he's losing it:
He thought by driving away the farmers, the transaction feeding them would be directly from user to simustore, no more middle man.
i.e. Farmer buys from person A. Farmers get all the BS and sell to person b. Wyrom probably thought Person B would go directly into simustore to get his BS, removing farmer AND person A that both profit from transaction.
But he miscaculated something: By having farmers, you raise the offer and therefore competition therefore you hype the thing AND the secondary market was helping simustore by having lot of transactions. Money moved, BS moved, Silvers moved: good for everyone INCLUDING simustore.
Shame on Wyrom, he got greedy and wanted to be the single point of transaction. He is the sole reason this DR suck big time and the economy is mostly dead.
p.s. we predictated that would happen when he started to ban whales | farmers. lol

02-16-2022, 01:45 PM
Yep.
Over competition. Then Some buyers dropping out. Which will mean things will go for less this auction. Just watch and see.
The economy was much better when you were able to buy currency @ 5 books were 10k per book, which gave the folks farming stuff a chance to convert and build up some currency so they could buy stuff for just sweat equity
The lower population numbers matches up with my experience, I left with three of my friends after EG.
The BS prices support the position that the secondary market is important. I figure Wyrom will spin it as post covid reduction, but I'd venture they are mismanaging their small player base. But here I am, still thinking about the game - so perhaps not.

It’s both and they tie in to one another. The GMs thought good times were here to stay because they got a boost during the mandatory lockdowns. Now that everyone is going back to work and the beach the population is down.
Or maybe Wyrom knew this would happen once the lockdowns ended and he was just trying to milk as much money as possible while he could. Who knows what the plans are now. Maybe there are no plans and he is just riding this until the whole thing comes crashing down.

There are other issues too. The format is a little tired, and people are less willing to throw money at things when they know there's almost zero chance they get their money back on whatever they're working on, should they decide to sell.
The secondary market for gear is weakened because people are reticent to bail on the gear they've spent a fortune on when they can't even get half their money back.
Wyrom has gone to the "let's reskin a flare!" hopper a few too many times, it gets harder and harder to keep that interesting.

Or maybe, Wyrom and Estild got arrogant and thought their high numbers were a reason to start cleaning what they knew was a thorn in their business model, aka the secondary market. They bet that a good retention of people because covid would compensate the % lost from the middlemen doing farming | whaling.

They are dumbasses if they thought driving the farmers away would actually help their bottom line. Not saying this wasn’t their goal, just that they are dumb if this is what they did and didn’t know what would happen.

They have always been out of touch with reality, their business model isn't attract new players cuz that'd be more work for GM's. It's milk the 10 super rich players we have left.

I’m worried about this to an extent, as it’s easy for corporate to get wowed by huge growth spikes in small amounts of time. Gotta dance with the one that brought ya, namely regular players that have invested moderate amounts over long spans.
Also, if the Game managers couldn’t see that the secondary market is one of the the reasons the game has enjoyed the longevity it’s had, then the game is doomed. I also don’t believe the silver farmers contributed in any way to the secondary market; they did however, contribute to silver devaluation.

I think this is the main reason there is any decline, if it's true. More and more people are maxing out their gear. They can only add so many A, B, C, D, E, F, G slots, where your weapon flares 5 times over?
At some point you can just point your weapon at something and it dies instantly. Then what?

And the damn worst (worse) part is, a couple of months | years ago, they held a nice compromise with the secondary market.
They were greedy ( lol rift boots at 28,000$) but at least, everyone got their part of the share IF YOU WANTED it. You could farm and net a good amount of money OR invest them in your char, you had a CHOICE.
Now, they removed your capability to have said choice and force you to buy from simustore if you want out of the box improvements (with p2w).
That's why I'm salty against simu. Even if you didn't want to cash in before, you could farm your way to good gear with DR. Even fucking fart sniffers like Darcena did it with buying books with silvers from LNET. The system WORKED!
Now, you can't. And farmers that had armies to cash in can't. And whales are driven out. And stupid people like villhorn that played for a reason can't.
All because of greediness of Wyrom and his REALLY bad assessment of the player situations and him not understanding how business model works with a fragile ecosystem.
