Is it just me, or does a bit more than 50% of the items seem very women-oriented..?

As several GMs posted on the official board, men's clothing doesn't sell well, so they tend to pay more attention to stuff that does - women's stuff, as men seem to like armor, weapons, gear, etc.

Makes sense to me.
