Hero or Dumbass?

I was watching the news the other day and somewhere in the next county over, some high school kid got hit by a train in his car because he was trying to beat the train at a railroad crossing.

And now they're calling him a hero because of it.

Don't get me wrong it sucks that the guy died, but a HERO?! :wtf:

Huh...what were the circumstances. Was he trying to beat the train thru because the hospital was on the other side and he had his freshly severed penis in a cup of yogurt on the passenger seat ready for emergency reattachment. IF so he is a fucking hero. Otherwise he is dumb and dead.

We have to read this book, Confederates in the Attic, for history and it has a similar thing. This kid had a confederate flag in his car window because he liked to annoy people, drove through a black community in the south, and was shot and killed. He went from being the bully that his friends knew him as to being a hero who was just proud of his ancestors.

I agree entirely, butwhat I see happening is that his friends are trying to not think about how he died, but instead praise what else he accomplished in his life.

In doing that, they are inadvertently not using the mistake that caused his death to try to prevent similar future accidents.

As the resident expert on trains, I can confirm that this kid is indeed a dumbass.

Should your vehicle be struck by a train, 200 loads of coal or a single engine, your vehicle will lose.

Even if he had survived, he'd still get a huge 'fuck you' from me. The train could've derailed, endangering the lives of the train crew, and if the train was carrying hazardous materials, the lives of the surrounding community.
