Spirit Slayer recasts

I've been playing my Cleric on and off for about 6 years but I've never seen this happen before, is it normal for spirit slayer duplicate a spell more than once?

Once the first recast has been triggered, additional recasts are possible based on the level of the attack spell. The probability of more recasts decreases exponentially as the level of attack spell increases. Spell level does not affect the chance of the first recast.
