Hi all,

Boy.. it's been a long time since I've set foot in the lands of Elanthia. Last time I can recall, is when Paladins were introduced and I changed my Warrior to a Paladin - that was a mistake! I was very unhappy with my decision, so I just retired. I came back to find out that they could undo it for a nominal fee of $200, but seeing as my character was only like level 21 or so, it did not seem worth it.

Regardless, I've thought about making a campaign based on Elanthia and I'm going to use the bulk of my knowledge from 10+ years ago to try to fill the void, but I'm also asking for the community for help creating content because there is much of Elanthia that I did not explore; I spent most of my time in Wehnimer's Landing, and really liked River's Rest, but did not get to see much else.

The premise of this campaign is going to be new adventurers fresh off the turnip cart, and brought up to speed on the ways of the land. They will be inducted into the Order of Voln, and ultimately fight an epic battle against Luukos' army at the Ebon Gate festival. I'm planning to use as much lore as I can from the game and incorporate it into the campaign, but I need your help in filling the gaps for the higher level stuff that I never did get a chance to do.

Is there a particular dungeon or territory that really gripped you? What was the content? Is there a storyline that you really enjoyed? How about a specific NPC or quest?

Please leave any and all thoughts below!

I ran D&D campaign that was based off Elanthia lore and was essentially the Griffin Sword Saga. We had six players and only one of them had ever played Gemstone before.

It made me DMing super easy because I'm a huge novice when it comes to any of the D&D lore settings but I could effortlessly move through Gemstone lore no problem. Plus a lot of my NPCs were already kind of made for me. I had it broken out into 4 chapters and 4 sessions each chapter. Unfortunately we didn't finish as I had to move and got way busy with work. But we completed the first 2 chapters and it was awesome.

I wish you the best of luck! It's a pretty in depth campaign setting.

That's a great idea! I'm going to start trying to figure out how to construct a campaign around that, even though I have no idea how the event went. I'll just have to make some things up as I go along.
