I have no idea how anyone else has used their ATP for rangers. I've put some in my primary weapon skill & DEX (as a bow user). Also have place some in mana and stamina regeneration. Simply, I thought the weapon skill one was a no-brainer as it is primary form of attack and I selected the regeneration ones because I always feel a bit more lacking in this area on solo hunts than I would like.
Where has everyone else placed theirs and why if you want to take time to give a rationale?

I put points into wisdom +5. Helps with CS, TD, crit weighting on arrows. Alot of undead can be killed with tangleweed, entropy, sunburst and animal companion and not mess with bless. More CS helps there.

That's where I'd like to expand to next. I totally forgot about ranged phantom critical weighting having WIS as being one of the contributing stats. When I really think about it, stats generally do seem to be the best use of ATP (with a few character-specific caveats).
As slightly post-cap open archer ranger, I now have 5-6 points in each of these:
- ranged weapons: no brainer
- dex: moar AS
- wis: for all the reasons rushblitz listed above
- aura: TD and convenient 11th spirit point
- str: hit 3 sec RT with less enhancives devoted to str, allows more enhancives for other stats
I thought about porter, but I'm not hurting on encumbrance enough to justify it. Next ascension points will probably be used to drive ranged up from +5 to +10. Maybe grab +5 disc as well. But, before any more ascension exp, I'll be working ambush up to 2x through regular skill points.
