I just put two services of crit on a 5x (+25) T2 ensorcelled spear without trouble, but I can't assess the weapon to save my life!
I'm 2x pole capped warrior.
I should be able to assess the spear as having a 20% chance of being 1 CER crit.

Keep trying. Also, be unencumbered.

Okay, I unencumbered myself, but all I get is this:
>assess v spear
You assess the spear for structural weaknesses and strengths.
Careful examination indicates the vaalorn spear has a base strength of 25 and a base durability of 160. You also determine the current integrity of the vaalorn spear to be at 100.0%.
Checking out the spear, it looks like it is not weighted to inflict more critical blows than a normal weapon of its type.
You heft the weapon a few times...but note nothing unusual about it.
Roundtime: 20 sec.
I got 2 or 3 dozen of those in-a-row.
Thanks!

Not sure why you are having this problem, as this should be very easy for you to assess. The only other things I can recommend are to be in offensive stance, and maybe try switching grip from one handed to two handed, or visa versa? That shouldn't matter, but who knows?

Yeah. It must be a bug for a switchable weapons. Weird that it says not more crit weighted.. if items don’t have weighting this is not a message you get. You don’t get any message concerning weighting.

I had (still have) the exact same thing happening to a Xojium robe that; for shits and giggles, I put just 1 service of damage padding and 1 service of crit padding.
I could not find the padding no matter how hard I tried. I actually called in Roblar and he got frustrated because the whole thing is wonky with ASSESS. I don't know why that's happening because the bard song does say it has the padding. It's weird.

I did a BUGITEM on my spear which now has 3 services of crit, but is un-ASSESS-ible.
As a reminder, I'm a capped polearm warrior, so the assess should be easy. It's bugged.
