a tiny paper gallant knight charm, I have 8 of these but can't figure out how it's used. Bard song actually reveals nothing but:

You focus on the a single rune inked on the surface of the gallant knight charm.
You note the composition of the rune, identifying it to be zihee'ka.
You manage to decipher the following runes:

Anyone have any idea on how it's used and also if it has any value? Amount of charges?

I think it is a runestaff charm. The kind you hung from a runestaff and invoked like a scroll.

From EG 2007:

Observed use As (person) brings a small dark paper charm inked with elemental runes toward his oak rune staff, the runes on its surface begin to glow with golden luminescence. The moment the the dark paper touches the staff, it burns away, leaving the glowing forms of the runes floating above the staff’s surface. The runes flicker for a moment and then sink into the staff. (Person) gives a flick of his wrist, spinning the staff end over and in his hand. (Person) raises his oak rune staff before him and takes up a quiet chant. A single rune suddenly flares to life over the staff’s surface, its golden form illuminating the air around him. He seems to glow with power! (Person) gestures. A small circular container suddenly appears and floats rather serenely over to (Person).

Note: charms will not work with all runestaves, and appear to add scripts to a staff.

Yup, that's a runestaff charm... can be plopped on any unscripted staff, to add the spell as an invoke option, plus a couple of other small zests, like Nephelem said.

ETA: those charms went for 40k silvers (2012 silvers). Possibly worth less now, since there's so many different types of scripted staves that are more commonly used that this can't be used on.
