I want one. You may have one. Let's meet.

Don't shovels only work for the EG grounds they're made for? Like, the Feywrot shovels don't work on Caligos, and the Caligos shovels won't work at the new area starting next year (2022)?

That is absolutely correct

Seems like a serious design flaw

Can only let people get so much outta the permanent things before making people buy them again...

This would be the last year the shovel will work, just keep that in mind.

Thats awesome, a permanent shovel that becomes useless whenever there is a venue change

it is something that was mentioned a number of times about the shovels. So it's not like it's a surprise. They weren't making money off the permament shovels so they stopped releasing them which in itself is bullshit and typical simu

He is correct in that this is a known thing for many venues now.

Year one auction its worth most, maybe less if future EGs digs have weaker top end possible finds but so long as the item resells, if it moves with that acknowledgement, who cares?

He is wrong to the latter. How do they not make money? And when did they ever? The shovels were auctioned by Wyrom twice in a decade, for silvers. They made no extra money the first grounds because well you had bought a box office ticket anyway for entry while it ran. Caligos became a mix of Simustore passes rather than a single entry box office ticket. You need a games pass to make use of the shovel so they do make some money, though you'd likely have spent it anyway if you do digging or would try the games.

The shovels aren't sold for simustore items last I checked so there is no cash to them lost or made.

Are they still using my island for EG?

well if someone uses a permament shovel 16 hours a day for 3 weeks you aren't paying the 40k per shovel is what i mean. but i think it was more the person going afk and it being an issue. wyrom said something about that a few years ago was why they didn't do more

Well that's a bit different that this:

Yea afk scripting 3 weeks makes more sense to stop releasing them than making money since the regular shovels are 40K (and I think 100K for more use) but in silvers not scoins.
