View Full Version : Cool Pre-Memorial Day thing

Went to visit my family for Memorial Day. I ended up leaving for Boston for the day to show it to my friend and his girlfriend. Came back home and see that my mother left a cool little picture from the Boston Globe with Marines and saliors on it. THe sailors holding up an American flag and it was a small little ad thing for Memorial Day saying "Home of the Brave".

I thought while simple it was a wicked awesome gesture and it made me feel great. Just had to get that out while we all think of what we owe all the service men before our time and how lucky we are to have them. THey'll definately be a beer for them tomorrow!

I am with you on this.
We have a overpass on I-5 that is at one of the entrances to the Fort Lewis that had about 40 people on it waving American flags.
Gives a warm fuzzy a bit.
A few more beers for them tomorrow here too.

I went to the local cemetary today and posted flags up at graves of service men... some of these men died in the 1800's. Anyways you guys know I'm with you on this. Always a good thing and...

I saw a sticker that said it all for me Land of the Free, because of the Brave. I support our troops no matter where they are.. they ARE our people.
