Rivulets of water gather in the ridged clay tracks along the floor, pooling in tiny puddles whose surfaces shimmer slightly when far-off tremors occur.

Several odd, misshapen chunks of material are piled about the area, roughly round in shape and somewhat flaky. It's difficult to ascertain just what they are, but a few seem to have bone fragments embedded within them. Rumbling continues to echo along the walls from time to time.

Smooth boulders with oddly rounded edges protrude from the hardened earth floor, each looking like the egg of some huge beast. The surface of the stones have a sheen to them as if they had been polished for some reason, and certainly this type of erosion is not normal. A semi-circular ring of stalagmites and stalactites just barely meet, resembling a giant maw swallowing one end of the passageway. The calcite pillars are thin, though, leaving just enough room for egress.

Deepening shadows in the rubbled entryway to this four-lobed structure fade into darkness at the far end of a southeast passage leading into the Stronghold bowels. Glyphic markings repeat in a puzzling pattern along the crumbling walls, their ancient meaning lost. Scraping noises from beyond a crude arched opening echo loudly in the emptiness of this underground labyrinth.

Lining a series of spoke-like pebbled paths, each bracketed by wrought iron benches, rows of flowers extend from the courtyard to the triskele building at the circle's hub. You also see a suspension bridge.

The idea of a halfling bear-hugging a greater krynch to death cracks me up.


Veins of mica and quartz crystal run along and through the towering krynch's barrel chest and thick, powerful limbs, causing it to shimmer in even the dimmest light. A crown of rough rock and crystal spikes protrude from the top of its otherwise perfectly spherical head, adding to the creature's powerful stature. Its mouth is fixed in a perpetual scowl, and glossy black eyes glare at you with malevolent intensity.
