Still looking for a character, either need a spell up account consisting of a 20-30s wizard or a play account consisting of a bard, rogue, sorcerer or cleric 20-50.

why dont you do it the old-fashioned way, and MAKE a character? And make friends so perhaps you can help each other out. Just a thought.

Surely roleplaying, advancing a character, making friends in a ROLEPLAY game is the point, isn't it? :?:

While I tend to agree, this is after all a topic about selling things and some of the things that have been sold in this topic are characters.
Form another thread here or in the Off topic section perhaps and I'll join right in the fun though.

I've always wondered how much Syb would sell for if I sold him with all his gear. Not that I have any desire to sell him, but a man does get curious.

Well, for just the gear, the formula is $20 x 1 Million if you sold everything on the black net. I don't know his level or profession or anything, so it's a little hard to gauge total price.

I spose I can post his skills and stats and gear just so folks can get an idea...
Constitution (CO): 93 .... 21
Dexterity (DE): 96 .... 28
Discipline (DI): 94 .... 17
Logic (LO): 99 .... 24
Intelligence (IN): 99 .... 24
Strength (ST): 97 .... 23
Reflexes (RE): 94 .... 32
Charisma (CH): 97 .... 28
Wisdom (WI): 100 .... 25
Aura (AU): 100 .... 25
Syberus (at level 113), your skill bonuses and ranks are:
Skill Bonus Rank
-------------------------------------------------------------
Armor Use : 40 [8]
Shield Use : 214 [114]
Combat Maneuvers : 50 [10]
Edged Weapons : 214 [114]
Climbing : 140 [40]
Swimming : 140 [40]
Disarm Traps : 162 [62]
Pick Locks : 162 [62]
Perception : 214 [114]
Scroll Reading : 214 [114]
Magic Item Use : 214 [114]
Mana Sharing : 214 [114]
Spell Aiming : 223 [123]
Physical Training : 114 [28]
First Aid : 140 [40]
Trading : 102 [24]
Physical Training Points : 393
(Saving points for when he starts to double all magical skills at 120)
Your spell lists:
Minor Elemental...65
Minor Spirit......50
Sorcerer Circle...113
Now as far as inventory, I'm not going to post it all since almost everything has a show alter and it'd be somewhat annoying, I'd gauge his total not worth in items to be somewhere in the range of 40-50 million

No one will pay $20 for a mil anymore.
$18 max, $15 standard.

I was actually wondering, without any equipment, what would a 46 sorcerer go for?

I think it's very hard to put a price tag on characters right now with GSIV looming over our heads. Nobody knows really if they'll enjoy playing it. It's really not a good time to buy or sell.
I never dealt in the buying and selling of characters so I couldn't say what's worth what. I've only recently started looking on ebay now and then just to get a feel for the prices and I am amazed by what I see. I mean who, really who can afford to spend 500-1000$ on a fictional character in a text-based fantasy game? Seriously, who? I make a comfortable living but you'll never see me spend that kind of money on a character! I can almost spend a week in a caribbean all-inclusive resort for that price! Totally insane.
So I ask again, what kind of people buys characters at that price? Certainly not college kids. Rich mommy and daddy? Can't be. A 30$ a month subscription maybe but even rich mommy would wonder what she's paying 700$ for.
So who's rich enough to spend 500$ left and right like that?

dont judge character value for sorcs by the 107 selling on ebay. If you take a closer look, I am sure the gem chisel is what is driving up the value

Well, how long do you think it'd take you to get a character to level 107?
3 months is ~$100 if you're premium. Just over 2 years worth of cash, and you don't have to do any of the work.
Not saying I'd do it, but it's pretty easy to rationalize spending that amount.

I can rationalize why it's worth that much. I'm having difficulty understanding who has 500-1000$ in their pockets right now and thinks "hmm I think I will buy a character."
It's just an alien concept to me I guess.

well I technically have the money to buy a character but I think that money is a lot better spent going towards college and car expenses and shit
