Blades CHEATS.

I was tempting Blades to throw some fruit at my while I was in the stocks (serving my BUGGED UP FINE), so that I would have a reason to attack him. Sure enough, he cold-cocked me a few times.

After my 500 hour incarceration, I went after him. This log is from my other character's point of view, simply because I FORGOT Rogue's got that new ability that makes it so you can't cast. I was literally a sitting duck (I guess I could have moved out, or ran away). So all that was on my end of the log was "you cough up blood, etc" 100 times in a row.

I had my animate attack him, but the first time it SPELLED HIM UP (what the?!) and the second time it WOKE HIM UP by call winding. I then remembered that the Adept would cone the dais, so I made it stop.

It's long, and rather anticlimactic, but still...

Always have an invis amulet with the herbs to get your neck wound to a minor ( at least ). (( Something I had to learn the hard away )).
Not sure how much Invis would help though, becouse Blades specialises in the minor elemental sphere, hence he could try to do nothing at all.

Another thing, I don't think this log shows Blades 'cheating' in any way , bud.
Besides, cut throat is necessary to a profession who have such a terrible TD. All it basicly does is stop the fight. Better than if they slipped a blade in your eye, and easy to remedy.

Meanwhile you can defend against garrote by having a neck guard... I believe (though not certain) that the same procedure applies for cut throat.

Though there's no defense against implosion other than it getting nerfed. :yes:

But anyhow, it still stands that Blades "schooled" JD with some practical moves. Though I am not sure why he didn't swift-kick JD into offensive stance for the kill, unless JD just simply had that many spells for that kind of DS.

I know and talk to Blades, and he is trained more heavily in the MnE circle than the MnS circle. He did train heavily in MnS, but that was in the past.

Is there any point to this thread other than someone who made 0-100 really fast wanting to show off their text killing skills and amazingness to everyone else? Everyone already knows that people go from 0-100 in like a year and then spout off how powerful they are. Tsalin did it. Edward did it long before Tabor existed. So did Neimanz. All of then became amazingly powerful and pwned everyone. Problem is. Not many people really care. One of the oldest players in the game had to cheat to beat you. Amazing. Incredible even. TD versus Voln is usually alot less. Plus I doubt even 20% of the population of GS is over level 80. And the fact he only wears chain. Depending on the type he uses you can add 12 to 15 extra TD for the normal plate wearing rogue.

He'll still be here long after you've finished beating Gemstone.

First and foremost, I am the 'real' Jenovadeath. I created Jenovadeath back in 1997. Yes, yes, it's true that I got to level 93 in that ONE year, but look at me now? I never capped. I've been playing for 7 years now, and I'm still not capped. I've been on AOL since 1994, and my screename has ALWAYS been WILWIL05. (Feel free to ask anyone old GS player that talked to me, they can verify that.)

Most 11 year olds are in what, 4th or 5th grade? So now he's claiming that he was playing Gemstone in elementary school. I don't know about the rest of you, but I didn't have my first typing class until I was even in 6th grade. Plus I don't think anyone's parents would have dealt well with their toddler racking up $700+ AOL bills every month for a year and a half....

You can kill other characters in gemstone IV. Wow. Worship you, we should. Speak like Yoda in your presence we should. Had you even existed in 1997, as you claim, you'd know who some of the other people were. It was damn near impossible not to. You pick fights whenever you can. You egg people into picking them with you, so you can pwn them, or whatever you want to call it. Most people who act that way usually do because they can't suffice in another aspect of life, therefore they become saddled with an inferiority complex. Which also explains why you keep lying about how long you've been playing. And why you keep posting logs of yourself killing other high level characters or GM characters.

It is sad that people like you have no concept of anything other than hunting and bullying, and showing off your text might. Why you chose gemstone over EQ or other dungeon crawling games is beyond me. Your shitty attitude, your holier than thou presence, and flat out stupidity would be much better served in that type of environment, where it is embraced. You are the one who doesn't know how to play a role-playing game. You never have. Actually, Edaarin, Tabor has a picture on the OOC web page for PSINET. He's the scrawny little guy that a 5 year old could kick the shit out of. He's made up for this by photoshopping a picture of himself and adding some muscle to the nonexistant frame and putting that in a small forefront picture.

And now we've gone from IUSM, to Purdue. We're getting worse and worse here. He doesn't have the intelligence to be an engineer, which is the only thing Purdue has going for it. Purdue's the school people in Indiana go to if they can't get admission into the local community college.

Actually, before this thread is locked.

All I have to say is that.. Blades' character doesn't think much of mine, and we have exchanged words and roleplayed a couple of days ago.. I have said many smart ass remarks and many things insulting to his character and back, and he did not resort (sp?) to using his age, and skills to bring me down.

I personally think that some, if not majority of people when faced with the fact that they cannot compete in a battle of wit, they rely on the number of hours they have spent in gemstone to establish their superiority, which to me is less than nothing.

I have not had an encounter with jeno, except one time I witnessed some girl on her knees, sucking up to almighty one. To each their own, I have nothing against him.

Blades, however.. I would roleplay with anytime.

Bleh before my comment is misunderstood. I also want to add there is nothing wrong with playing gemstone and spending lots of time playing it, if that is what you wish to do with your time. I believe we all have done it at one point and the other.

There is also nothing wrong roleplaying a villain in game.

I'm still waiting for the part where Blades cheated. I've seen the "log", I've seen Tabor's claims. I've seen Edaarin completely pwn him. I've seen Tabor fall back to racism and personal traits. I've seen Edaarin completely pwn his ass again. I've seen Tabor claim he's played the game for 10 years, no 9 years, no 7 years.. only to fall back to the "I'VE BEEN PLAYING LONGER THAN ANY OF YOU!" I've seen Soulpieced hit a nail right on the head. I've seen a battle of wits.. Xcalibur vs Tabor and I was actually rooting for Xcalibur. I saw where Tabor said someone else should get a life.. which made me laugh inside alot. HYPOCRIT ALERT!! I saw Tamral strike out when he tried to compare Drizzsdt to Jenovadeath.. and come back to knock one out of the ballpark when he completely pwned Tabor.

You're right. There's nothing wrong with spending lots of time playing GS. The problem is when you brag about it as though it's this massive achievement. It may be a gaming achievement, but in the grand scheme of things, it means very very little when the rest of the world carries on with life and doesn't take a two dimentional text character so seriously.
