Raging Thrak says not to leave stuff on the ground because it's not safe.
I'd say screwed. But it never hurts to ask if they can replace the lost item(s).

shit, i wouldnt throw that much on the ground to begin with. or have a friend there also incase the worst happened like that. If it's never happened before and you aren't having to ask often of for such a favor they do work with you a little bit.
Last time I lost something important the girl found it for me, and was just like hey dont make a habit of putting your stuff in containers on the ground, and left.

Hopefully you registered that stuff recently, and have logs, it's 100% worth an Assist and the likely GM referral they'll send you into. Never hurts to ask. They will usually do a one time replacement for a janitor loss, but if it's multiple items I'm not sure how that'll go for you. Good luck!

If someone picked it up you are 100% boned unless they decide to give it back to you

everyone always says 1 time, I've never heard that specifically mentioned by a GM when during an inquiry about things.(in my case) I think it's more like do they feel being nice that day, or not give a fuck.

I think it's really going to depend on the GM you get and how much time they want to invest in this. Like if they can replace all items at once with minimal effort you might get it all back. If it's dozens of items and they have to expend significant time on each item you're probably screwed. Like someone else said you will have a better chance at getting it all back if you registered the items recently.

If you assist, it's all still with the janitor (assuming no one picked it up). But don't wait too long- it cleans itself out periodically

If the janitor got it, you should be ok.
If someone else picked it up, GMs won't be able to do shit about it including telling you who picked it up.
This happens more often than I imagine it should. Is it common practice to leave stuff on the ground? Why? Why not just get an F2P to hold your backpack?

But Wyrom might. Has happened before with WC's sabar.

Not entirely true, before the disarm changes I found a bow in OTF when I got back to town my entire screen was filled with yellow spam that I had something in my inventory that didn't belong to me.

And you probably gave it back but if the person decides to keep it they are up the creek.

update: So happy this morning. I got everything back with no questions asked. gm just popped in and was all like this your shit? i was like yes'm. stop being stupid and leave shit on the ground and I was all like yes'm and then the gm left.
I feel they actually care about your gear now my experience in the past was more touch and go.
I guess they hooked me for another few years. lol.
