Teen Titans was originally a comic book series from DC. The more exposed version that I'm assuming is being discussed is the cartoon adaptation.

Robin (from Batman and Robin) is probably the only widely recognized character. The others I hadn't heard of before the cartoon.

Its pretty good. I never read the comics but the cartoon is definately entertaining.
