View Full Version : Am I the only one?

So as I was busting out my awesome moves this morning after everyone had left for work or what have you, I was thinking "I wonder if I'm the only one on PC gay enough to do this".

Example: I turned up Jet - Are You Gonna Be My Girl real loud and totally white-boy-danced it all over the upstairs (I save my real moves or when other people are around). Like, I picked up the toothpaste and used it as a mic and everything. While I'm doing this I'm getting ready for work, too.

So anyway. Anyone else let themself go when no one is around? :D

No. Never in my life have I done that.

Once though, after I got a goodnight kiss from a total hottie when I was in highschool... on my drive home I yelled "YESSSSS!!!!" to myself. Does that count?

LOL. I actually give out driving awards on my way home almost every night. I'm yelling in my car 'You sir are the WORST DRIVER EVER'.

Gold by spandau ballet.
Singing it at the top of my voice while vacuuming the living room.

There. I'm gay. I admit it.

That's a lot nicer than I am to moronic drivers.

Speaking of driving, I also sing and talk to myself while driving alone. I don't really give a fuck if anyone sees me.

Also, I feel sad for SHM. Everyone should let go and cut a rug when they're alone, I say. It's healthy for the soul.

I sing along to country songs while I'm in the car sometimes. My girl keeps saying "How the F*ck do you know the words to every song?"

But I don't normally go Napoleon Dynamite in my house, no.

Don't feel sad for me, I cut loose in other ways :) I'm just not an alone dancer ;p

A few years back, I was cruising around, windows open, music blasting, tuned to a dance station. The 'It's raining men' song came on, and I started singing it.

I pull up to a light, I'm all into it with this song, and then I glance to my right. This hot chick in the car next to me is glancing over, and I'm like 'D'oh?'

Hahaha, I dance around my house all the time! Today I was doing it to that Amerie song, one thing. Sometimes I totally imagine I'm on stage.... :help:

Oh you're not alone at all. I love to dance, so I'll do it any time there's music, whether there are people around or not. And I do sing along too, heh. Unless I'm driving through a residential area, I turn up the music and sing along in the car too. I like to wave at people that stare. So few wave back... punks.

Edited to add... but I'm a girl. So I dunno if it counts. Girls have less hang-ups about dancing, in a very generalized sort of way.

I do it constantly, which wasn't so bad when I was a 21 year young hottie.

As an arthritic 46 year old with way too much of that gravity issue going on, it can only be considered a blessing that the sole witnesses are the cats.

Vic, you could make it happen.
You could do the boards a great service, plus we'd all have avatars for years to come.

I do it all the time. Of course, I'll dance if people are around too. Even at work. I got no shame in my game!

I also have my headphones on and will get up and jam if it's a good song.

Hell I've called people from other offices and be like "Holy shit big problem you gotta come see this" They walk in and I start with the "Big Booty Ho's Get With It"
My buddy from the office I call starts laughin and the new guy was like wtf is going on here....

I know some doors, who are going to be filing harrassment suits one of these days... ::coughs::

I USED to dance a lot when I was home alone. Now I am too ungainly to do anything. I'm afraid if I bust out I'll fall over.

Yeah, I dance and do silly things like pretend I'm in a music video or just be silly and dance around the house and stuff.

It was the best when my sisters were around though. All three of us would pretend that we're different people in a band or group and act it out. It was a lot of fun.

Not alone but I'll crank up the music pretty loud and if my girl is there with me, or any of my girl/guy friends I'll just start grooving and they'll join me. I like dancing with another person if I'm feeling the beat then it's on.

Oh noooezzzzz, now Tayre will feel sad for you and call you a yuppy since you don't dance by yourself alone :(

Skirmisher

I'll dance almost anytime anywhere. More fun with others of course, but alone will do also and sure I can try a super silly move alone more comfortably than in front of others.

Singing on the other hand is done in the car at full volume, with the windows up.

Heh. Hardly the only one, I'd say. Dancing around to music that moves me is one of my forms of stress relief. Whether at home, in my office, or at the mall. I'm not particular where. Live in the moment. :D

You know that scene at the beginning of Office Space, when Michael is sitting in his car rapping and getting all into it, But when someone gets close enough to actually hear him, he turns it down and shrinks down into his seat? Yeah that's me. I'll hear some song that I love and be all into it, even doing hand movements, but only if I'm going fast enough so no one can see me.

Also, I dance by myself, often. Flashdance style. It's great.

I don't dance. But I do love to sing when no one is around to hurt their ears. When people hear me, I could probably be accused of torture.......

If its alone in the sanctuary I do more of a funky shuffling I guess you could call it. Only if I’m either really happy or really drunk.

In the car I do all the stupid shit with the music up loud. Usually Filter.

I danced/sang my ass off at my first company karaoke party.

Of course, it took a lot of alcohol for me to do that.

When I'm looking at a mirror, or when playing high pitched songs and singing with it fantasizing kicking american idol butt. Just thinking about it, oh god it's so pathetic.

Edit: Forgot to add when I'm on the passenger seat, and playing loud music. Oh man that is when I do it all the time. Beyonce and christina aguilera songs rock. I have a very vivid imagination.

Music is Life. To celebrate it is to celebrate your life imo.

In the shower or downstairs hanging out with my puppy; alone or in the accompanyment of others, I sing. I dance. I also run up and down the stairs while in stock plays to burn off energy if I'm nervous, so take it for what it's worth. I never claimed I was sane.
