OK for those of us in the UK, and for anyone else I guess who isnt but wishes to contribute, post your views gossip whinges and whatever here.

I will start by saying that I have heard that Michael Howard will be having a funky and appropriate theme tune to play at his celebration party if the tories win (In a similar way to Tory Blair having "Things can only get better" when Labour won).

Apparently, the Tories will have "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves" as theirs

Blair will win. The entire Conservative campaign has not been about their own policies but about how much they hate Blair. Howard is a fucking tool as well and I'm sure most working class people will recognise this.

Shame the liberals won't win. They atleast seem to have the country in mind and are not "OMG YOU ARE THIS PARTY AND R GAY".

Aye, I also think Blair will win again, and it probably will not be close.

I still find it amusing that you use "Aye" in casual conversation.

Carry on.

The Telegraph reports them neck in neck in the polls.

Didn't the labour party redraw the election boundaries in their favour in the 90's.

I don't keep up on the ins and outs of British politics however the consenus among my relatives in Britain is that Blair is a schmuck who is dismantling the country.

The other guy is an asshole has been enough of a platform to win elections in Canada, especially if the other guy is hated enough. Perhaps it will work for Howard and the Conservatives.

Howard is a bigger schmuck.
If the Tories had a leader who was electable, Blair might be worried...as it is, they must be laughing all the way to the bank, that the Tories elected that gap-toothed playground nonce.

Wasn't the general publics' attitude to labour extremely poor, when Blair stated Rover would recive NO funding whatsover.
Then when they realised like, 6000 workers and thier families would be a pretty bad number to piss off, They ''lent'' Rover the money to save the company. Thier jobs and thier votes.

As I said I don't follow British politics closely and I don't know much about Howard. In Canada I have seen real schmucks elected if the current leader is well hated.

If the Telegraph has them neck in neck Blair should be worried regardless if Howard is a schmuck or not.

We don't need a crystal ball to tell us we're gonna have another Labour term.

Either way. I'm voting Liberal.

22 days until the election, if you factor in 3% margin of error they are in a statistical tie.

Regarding Rover, I think people would have been more pissed off if the Government had given Rover (a failing company) a huge chunk of public money that could be spent on cleaning up hospitals or putting more police on the street. This close to the election, there is no way that will happen, hence the smallish loan.

We all know Labour will win the election, let's hope that the lib dems gain more ground too. The conservatives are just laughable, I mean from William Hauge, Iain Duncun-Smith to Michael Howard... They have no idea about electing a leader with some charisma.

Their campaign is a joke too... Have you seen the party political advert with the Asian woman saying "It's not racist to impose controls on immigration." They used an Asian actor so people would think Wow.. an ethnic minority thinks tighter immigration controls are ok so they must be!!!!

The youth vote will be for the lib dems, the problem is their policies are not realistic or mature enough to carry them through a successful election. I am 100% sure Labour will win the election, I just hope Blair has the good sense to hand the reigns over to Gordon Brown so that we can finally unite with Europe.

Blair isnt well hated, he is just distrusted.
Thatcher was hated.
The tories under Howard are unelectable.
Would be nice to see the Lib Dems become the opposition though. That's my wish list.

What Vic said.
To the letter.

Oh exept the hoping G. Brown makes it in. Basicly it's deciding between the lesser of two persons I've never really trusted.
Except this time one is tired and on the verge of death , the other is fucking raring to go.

Vote Liberal Democrats!
Kennedy's had a baby /sarcasm.
