I was just watching the news and they ran some story about "What kind of music does President Bush listen to on his iPod?"

They listed a handful of songs of different varieties, from Hall & Oats to Alan Jackson, and some other stuff I don't remember cause I was doing something else at the time, and mentioned that some of the music he listens to is made by people that campaigned against him, blah blah.

Then they start analyzing the song's lyrics and basically start talking shit about what kind of person Bush is based on the lyrics of the songs he listens to on his stupid iPod while he's out jogging, particularly one song from the early 80s (forgot the name) where the lyrics are something about a guy trying to hook up with a chick much younger than him. Then of course the analysts start blowing more smoke out of their ass.

Now I don't care who this news story is about, it still has to be one of the stupidest news things I've ever seen in my life.

The news anchor seemed to agree, as after the story ran he said "It must have been a really slow news day today."

I remember that story. It was on Foxs news yesterday morning and I was just... why? They go on to talk about the actual songs and that he has a certain guy who downloads the songs to iPod for the president. It was just a sad, sad story, definitely not news-worthy.

Although I do envy the government guy who has a job of downloading music for the president. Where do you study for that kind of thing? Hook me up!

He was leaking the stories? I thought he was the one who was let into the press room with shady credentials from some conservative backed website and he was called on for softball questions when the Prez seemed to be in trouble.

Same guy? I never caught the guys name as I only heard about this on an AM radio news station sometime last month. I did hear that he passed all security check-points and was given access that seasoned White House reporters didn't even receive.
