A shimmer trinket is nothing like a glamour crystal. Shimmer trinkets only allow you to hide stuff you are wearing. In addition they have charges and need to be recharged. https://gswiki.play.net/Shimmer_Trinket

Shimmer trinkets basically allow you to choose an outfit, while hiding everything else...

The crystal just hides everything and makes you a hooded figure in robes...Which I can get close enough to with a shimmer trinket, is what I'm saying. I know what they do heh

The only difference is hidden features/hands/inventory fully when looked at in a crystal, vs shown features/hands/custom inventory when looked at (Which I pretty much consider the same in the latter portion of items)

And IMO, something like that would obviously be sick for PVP but well...Gemstone...

I just think the price on them is lower, again in my eyes, due to Shimmer Trinkets, Relic Pins, sex changing trinkets, spells now etc that exist to do somewhat similar RP like things

I think you mean a Moonshard Pendant and not a shimmer trinket. They are nothing alike as the shimmer trinket only makes outfit changes.

I'm talking about the ability to customize and wear whatever I want, while still wearing everything else hidden away, with a shimmer trinket.

Which is ALMOST what a glamour crystal does, with some few exceptions already mentioned. From an RP standpoint, which is pretty much why people would want to use a glamour crystal for the most part, you can actually pull off some wild stuff now a days for less, with a lot more items now at our disposal.

Will you be literally an austere/color changing figure in hooded robes when looked at? No, but you can be a lot of other stuff with similar outcome, not exact, but similar.

The downside to the crystal, from an RP point of view, is any other cool feature altering items you could be wearing, like horns...claws...fairy shit etc, will not be shown/hidden as well

You could not look like someone wearing a glamour crystal no matter what you do with all the stuff you mentioned. The ONLY thing you can hide with a shimmer trinket is gear. The closest item to a shimmer trinket that I can think of is a Griffons Pin. Those are similiar

I wish these things kinda were updated to reflect more options when wearing them...like not just the color of a damn robe...But also offer maybe a few slight options for various slots of things...Like hair, unique facial items perhaps etc...

The sad thing is these don't disguise you as you enter/leave rooms, do any actions in a room, or just appear in the room list. If it did, I'd see a larger value in them.

They also will allow NO changes of any kind to be made to these by any merchant ever. I am not sure why though because there is tons of potential cash they could make.

The glamour rubs off, especially once you know the player name, and what profession they are etc etc...It would be much more enjoyable if it hid the player name per say..

IMO, this game has ALWAYS needed the GREET feature/function almost all old school MUDs have. That would be amazing

A 2020 top of the line corvette ZR1 does the quarter mile in 11.2 seconds with a top speed of only 194mph. Top of the line Bentley Speed does it in 10.2 seconds with a top speed of 207mph. A Bentley will blow a corvette off the road in the quarter mile, half mile, and mile. In addition it gets to top speed 11 seconds faster. The cheapest Bentley is faster than the most expensive corvette.
