You are thinking of SK506. SM506 would probably be in the $5k-ish area, based on prior sales.

It would be cheaper to buy a bard to drag around and keep Tonis up all the time.

Plus no 3 minute cooldown.

Yeah, I was thinking about this. If it's just a self mana 506 item, you'd still have the cooldown. Why not just spend a significantly less amount of money and get a lot of imbeds and/or consumables?

I mean, I'm right in that a SM 506 item has the cooldown, while a SK doesn't have a cooldown (and allows for full lore benefits)?

SM 506 is what people with 506 SK desperately need not to have it suck.

Basically this, unless you're in lighter armor (which I am now, but may not want to be long term).

Still begs the question: why not just get a bunch of consumables? No MIU check, no armor spell hindrance, and a hell of a lot cheaper?

Good question. I tried that actually, but I go through them too quickly.
