Now I know many of you have read this on the official boards, but I figured it might be worth a bit of discussion here too.

Back when the H4H went on, there were a bunch of bugs, Mellisa said they were going to give free tickets to the Ebon's gate as an "I'm sorry." Somewhere along the line, there were more issues, about scoring and the like, which were fixed by giving everyone max scores. There were bugs with the puzzles and the prizes, but since we were all given max points we got a number of items, and titles and everyone was happy, or so they thought.

Now there are a number of people complaining that the free Ebon's gate was offered and not recinded. I didn't it being taken back as an option myself, but I'm not overly upset about it.

So, of those of you who know about this issue, what do you think?

That "discussion" is one of the most idiotic things I have ever seen.

It is simply a ploy by a bunch of folks to rile everyone up about an issue of semantics and get $30 for free.

Everyone knows that HfHII was messed up. So, they voided the point system and gave everyone full points. Yes, there was discussion before that regarding a free quest ticket in reparations, but the GMs decided that full points would be more equitable.

Its crap like this that starts those hot pickle or slippery floor lawsuits with McDonalds. Do we want Simu to have to hire a team of lawyers and pass their costs on to the consumer just so they don't have to deal with idiot customers who don't want to scrounge $30 out of the change drawer?

I hate the ones that sue McDonald's cause they got fat eating the food... Of course you did, it's fried food! Don't sue them cause you couldn't control your fucking urges and didn't excercise. They don't force you to eat it! idiots..

It may be a "ploy" by some people, but what about the ones who had already completed the quest and had the full points? The solution put forth by Simu did nothing for them.

For crying out loud. This was all dealt with already! That's my point.

Think about what you just said. Those who completed all the quests, got the full points. If SIMU's settlement had been that everyone got one item instead of the amount that they would have got with full points, then you might have a point. But that's not the case. You got through all the bugs, you got the items you were promised. That is your reward. They didn't take anything away from you. You aren't entitled to anything else.

Look. There were instances of certain quests that were bugged. It was simply a matter of luck that your group was able to complete them. These other groups that tried their hardest and met only with frustration deserve the points they would most likely have gotten anyway even if there were no bugs. Heck, there were even some instances where one team would solve part of a puzzle, then a second team would run past them and lock the puzzle up so that the original team couldn't do it.

The only people that really benefitted from all this were the lazies or the people who weren't really trying in the first place. And since everyone paid the same $30 or whatever to play, it would have been their own damn fault if there hadn't been a settlement.

What I'm trying to say is, don't set a precedent here for future events. I can guarentee that you've killed HfH; there won't be another because of all this bickering.

Just let the damn thing go! Its 30 freaking bucks!

Referrals are only going to waste your and some GM's time as they kindly explain to you that the issue was resolved.

Ya know, it sounds to me like folks are more upset that they can't show off their gold medals to everyone else and strut their stuff that they were better because they really deserved the full points. That's quite a bit of hubris.
