Couple of questions -

Does anyone happen to know if greater black ora blocks plasma flares for a bonded (1625) paladin? I know you can bond to it and get all of the benefits from bonding, but not sure about the consecrate flare piece.

Second on infusing a weapon as a paladin when does that flare? My current weapon is an 8x maul, ensorcel, 5 CER and ironwright flares. I infused it with 1602 successfully but it has never "flared". Am I doing something wrong there?

Thanks in advance.

You’ll only get the flares from blessable weapons. Neither of the ones you’ve mentioned qualifies.

So I guess im confused (hence the post). On the second weapon (the maul currently in use). Its not uncommon to get double plasma flares in combat.

I just cant seem to get the infuse part to work right or trigger. Or the ironwright part ...but thats a different matter. I think i1625 is blocking ironwright flares because ironwright depends on the weapon being blessed and running out of blesses. When its "perma" blessed through 1625, I dont think its accepting the plasma/unbalance spell like it is supposed to.

The infused spell doesn't really flare in the normal sense, maybe that's the confusion. You need to BESEECH WEAPON and it should 100% trigger before your next attack. I macro a different attack key for my opening attack that uses beseech.

The maul will get paladin flares after the next update. The black ora may as well. The only thing that will block Paladin flares in the next update will be Cat B flares. Even heavy duty crit weigjting won’t block the pallie flares now, apparently as per Viduus.

Unfortunately Ironwright fills Cat B.

Ironwright has a weird way of doing it, but the script basically just puts a flare in that slot. It's *possible* that Ironwright will give guiding light flares when it doesn't have a flare currently set, but they'd have to adjust the script for that I believe.

Black Ora doesn't actually fill Cat B, but there's something in the script that blocks guiding light flares- it was written before it was normal to have weapons with more than one flare. (Unless that's changed recently)
