Bands of rigid leather overlap to form these gauntlets. Each plate is a shade lighter brown than the last, starting from near-black at the fingertips and fading to a pale taupe where the gauntlets terminate just before the elbows. The only exception to the color gradient is the palm of each gauntlet, which is thickly padded with chocolate brown leather with a slightly tacky feel.
