Going to roll a new Paladin. But I want to be different than my legion of humans derived from my natural racism against fantasy non-humans.

Thinking Halfling or Dwarf which would be better, why?

Of your two choices: if you can get over the Halfling's negative strength 'bonus' (where strength is one of the main stats for a paladin), I would suggest them; if you can't get over the negative strength, go Dwarf.

+25 AS is nice, do I need it though?

Both are good options. They each get some free elemental TD which is nice since paladins mostly learn spirit TD buffs. If you are thinking of any weapon type that is not a lance or awl-pike, dwarf is probably mechanically the better choice. I'd call it a toss up either way if you do go for one of those 9 second RT bases.

Speaking personally, I find the dwarf RP more appealing. But, your mileage may vary.

dang, I’m already level 29 on my halfling. regretfully rerolling sucks. I agree with your assessment hashing out the numbers. maybe a paladin fo eonak or something rad like that.

If I could reroll just for the race change, I'd change to a dwarf I think. But, I made an erithian, and I like it. I don't think I have any huge negatives honestly.

I made my little guy because I wanted to RP a deranged Halfling that worships a dried moldy tart that he keeps around his neck that he believes to be a god.

But the sad the truth is when you’re playing for literally decades on your toon, you can’t help to minmax. It’s... unfortunate.
