high noon, Saturday 5/28

Location: Orgrimmar

THE HORDE OPEN

This is a dueling tournament. No, dueling isn't pvp and this is not for all of you, but for those who want to have fun, along with the possibility of winning a bunch of cash, you are encouraged to enter.

This is open to Horde level 60s only. Entrance fee is 5 gold. Winner takes all the gold. No prize for second place. I am looking to get a field of 48, but that is ambitious. I will be organizing and will not participate otherwise because I wouldn't win anyway ;-)

You MUST sign up here. Tell your guildies who do not read the forums. I can't stress this enough- the more who know, the more who participate, and thus the larger the prize. Spread the word.

We will only do this if we get enough responses, otherwise it won't be worthwhile. I will give you more information later in the week as to the opening brackets.

So far the rules are no potions, no bandages, no trinkets which give you any type of pet (engineering or otherwise). No heals using items, unless the item is part of your equipment (i.e. shows up on the character screen). This will NOT be a best of 3. You get one chance per round against your opponent. Winner moves to the next round until one person is left.

More to come.

Enter here, and let's see who has the balls to be the first to sign up.

Edit: no healthstones

If there was a rule of "NO FUCKING OVERPOWERED ROGUES ALLOWED" I would enter Bayne. With the exception of Alorg.. I've kicked some ass with minimal equipment.

You realize rogues suck at open combat/duelling? Half our power comes from the suprise element of our attacks.

Rogues in duels aren't nearly as deadly as they are in the field. When you know it's coming there's none of that "holy sh!t" factor that ambush or cheap shot have from nowhere.

Panic on the victims part only makes us seem better...nothing like having someone running from a 21/8/22 rogue with their back exposed. lol

Bayne....you need to work on your dueling. I'm not putting up 5g because I know I'm no better than 50/50 vs any warrior or mage.

Seriously...I wanna know who you're beating in a duel (not to be insulting but...you've never beat me, and I don't think I'm that great at PvP).
