For UCS/UAC wizards using celerity, in order to get to a 1 second aimed kick requires 38 ranks of air lore and for 1 second non-aimed kick is 18 air lore? Did I get that right?

think some depends on race. my HK mage only needed 10 ranks of air to get 1 sec unaimed kicks

My elf mage has had 1 second kicks since he got the spell.

You should probably be going for 1 second targeted mstrike jabs to be honest.
You get a free jab with targeted mstrike, so at just 35 ranks you would get like 3 jabs a second.
You can switch to 1 second kicks while waiting for stamina to recover

My giant wizard with really bad AGIDEX has 1s aimed kicks at 24 air lore. Keep in mind MjE training impacts your celerity RT as well.

Sure, here's a couple examples. This is a wizard w/ 8x gloves & boots and a lot of enhancives. If you want to cap as a warmage, you're gonna need enhancives. The only outside spells I wear are minor spiritual, so no 211/215 or anything like that. Keep 902 evoked on your gloves and boots. He's at like +36 STR/AGI and +44 brawling presently, so fairly close to max enhancives.

I open with 501 when there's just 1 target in the room because EBP reduction greatly increases your MM. This helps me connect with my first attack and tier up faster. You could also use dirtkick to give you a solid MM boost with 1s RT from defensive, but then you're dealing in stamina. Plus 501 puts them on the ground, so you can kick them in the face easier. We call it ground and pound.
