I had to look into what Cashapp is because i had not heard of it....(i've only ever used paypal) i'm only vaguely aware of the other services... What are the advantages of something like this over the old way?

I think Zelle is like a cash app. No fees to transfer and it’s instant. I use it all the time and it’s fucking amazing.

For the longest time, I didn't have access to PayPal. Now I just prefer using $app or Venmo.

Yep, just alternatives that people have that are typically dictated by what your circle of people who send money use. I've always had PayPal for GS4. I got Venmo for transfers with work buddies when we travelled together. I use CashApp because it's what my friends use amongst themselves. They are all pretty equal in my opinion.
