Definately my cleric

Always my rogue now. Notice rogues and clerics are the most popular? Also the most diverse professions there are. Hope they dont kill that in gs4.

Rogues rule now, but I have a feeling the changes to ambush will put them back in line with the rest of the professions. Even though I play(ed) an ambushing ranger, I think ambush is grossly overpowered as it stands.

Gokkem, who is now waiting for all the rogues to rip his head off for daring to saw ambush is overpowered.

I agree and always have. Ambushing is way overpowered. I just hope they don't completely ruin the skill with the change.

Glad my Rogue is archery based. Though, I'd have been pissed if tripling hiding had gone away.

05-20-2003, 10:04 AM
I would say Anticor is still my favorite to play (wizard) but a close second is my rogue he's a blast. I've also got a warrior that I use more for RP than anything else. If you see a dwarf warrior complainin about the dark elf smell in the landing you'll know it's me

I LOVE being da warpuff I am. Mainly because I was told for many years it couldnt be dun. I can beat da pants off most folks around my age and I wear brig (gunna get better once I a lil older) I hunt all the time. Currently I'm 48 n huntin' craptors n leopards in ta illistim that are 60 or so. This by far has been da most challenging and rewarding outta everything I've tried.

I recently rolled Rogue and having all sorts of fun with that character. All time fav is Sorcerer though, Rogue a close second.

Wizard that is played my way(haste swinging ) is still my favorite. Lately I've been favoring my dwarf bard over my rogue....

Cleric is my favorite profession, they can do so damn much, Swing as hard as anyone else, THey have a vast range of attack spells, spells to fuck around with people, blind, bind and silence. and more, They can save people, clerics give you more options then any other profession out there.

DCSL
12-22-2003, 10:28 PM
Rogue! I *love* my two edged/brawling weapon-using, ambushing rogue. Although my highest level character currently is a bard... who I love as well. I just started with rogue and I still have a soft spot in my heart for the profession.

12-22-2003, 11:43 PM
I think profession wise, I'd still choose my Ranger. Starting off was a wee bit off. At 40, I've got the swing and redux of a Warrior, the added bonus of evade, block, parry, and Wall of Thorns, and once I master Hamstring......Well, I might just let it get to my head.

Next is prolly my Wizard, mainly because it's a great way to realize how lucky I am to just swing as a Ranger. However, through the trains I've worked my Wizard, he's become a close second to the Ranger.

I think I'd enjoy playing a Bard, too. I also enjoy the RP of my Cleric.

Love you Jolena!

I liked my cleric before, don't see many 2 handin war clerics around so i figured I'd have a blast as a Marlu worshiping war cleric. Turned out to be tons of fun, run out bravery benediction warding sphere and what not. Come back from hunt meditate repeat. Then there was the evil resurection with the sacrificial blade.

Aha but then theres my warrior, lots of fun being a tank in all respects, coupled with guild skills an all around fun profession. Hmm brief but to the point i suppose.

My weezard! Lots of spells to play around with, familiars (and gate), enchanting, invis, and other spells with great RP potential.

Sorcs n Rogues are fun but I suppose i just find it a little easy *shrugs* just my opinion.

Hopefully I'll be changing my cleric to a paladin when the option rolls around, hes currently a pure spell caster (bah Gs4 changes made it a little difficult for my training path to be viable) Im just curious to see what the paladin circle will be like before i make my final desicsion.

I started with a sorcerer which will be fun when he get old but my favorite character is my dwarven cleric. Clerics are very versitle and I love playing a heretic.

Rogues are the best, definately. But I find myslef playing my little empath a lot lately. Spells are fun too

Rogues are fun, sorcerer's are fun and wizard's are fun. All in that order.

I have more fun hunting and RPing as my wizard now over my rogue. The first 30 trains were tough to get through due to my training choices (I trained him to be optimized BEFORE reallocation.) Once I started hunting rotting corpses, things got easy. It's been a breeze ever since.

My rogue was alot of fun to play as well. He's more fun to bring out during invasions due to his training, but overall I have alot more fun playing my wizard.

Well, I just started my Dhe'nar rogue, and since she wont let anyone herl her thats not Dhe'nar it frustrates me that she's injured all the time LOL

She's a blast to play so far, I kinda like haveing the "You're not good enough to be my footstool" mentality since my main's an Empath thats WAY too goody goody.

FinisWolf
04-03-2005, 04:47 AM
Man, this was a seriously tough decision!

I think Finis (warrior) is my absolute fav, maybe more because I started with him, but he is one mean hombre, and I love that about him.

My rogue has to be second, with his guild skills, and cman.

My wizard would be third.

But to be honest, they are all great. Depends on my mood, depends on what aspects of the game I want to enjoy... it just depends...

I have at least one of every profession, some 2 and 3, so I can have different styles...

So, yes, a very difficult decision.

Rogue too. A rogue can use magic, be a tank, an archer, a thief, a locksmith or a mix of everything.

ElanthianSiren
04-03-2005, 02:13 PM
Empath
Rogue
Ranger

but oddly enough my warrior is my highest trained character?

I love my empath because she's a great hunter and fun to RP.

Rogues are just plain awesome. They have the best CMAN moves. They have the best training path options, and they are more efficient than other professions because they can protect (leg) for the group or solo (hide ambush).

Rangers I simply enjoy as a change. I like their spells.

Oh I forgot you don't have any.

Theres a number of rogues out there with well over 40 spells.

As for tanks, I can name a few pretty easily.

Xcalibur
04-03-2005, 02:54 PM
40 spells? That's 40 spells. 40 *67 =2680 tps. And to be able to cast those, you need at least 40 mana, and that's around 90 mtp more.

A ranger for 40 spells? 40*17 = 680. That's right, almost 5 times less.

That makes a ranger at 40 having more spells than a rogue at 90-100.

P.s. You're seeing Straycat using false numbers/presomptions AGAIN to prove his point.

Straycat cannot be wrong in Straycat's world.

But please, post how your experience in GS4, considering you've just started playing again, is different to this? I mean you must have gotten to a pretty high level in a month. Unless of course you've been lying again.

Never mind.

And if you didn't understood the 2 first times: Never mind.

You've been playing a month, of course if you haven't been lying. So you won't know anything about high level playing.

Second of all, where in my post, and I want you show me where in my post, did I say a high level rogue is or is not better than a lower level ranger. I said, for the third time, I know some rogues with more spells than most rangers. Do you understand? Or do you want me to say it for a fourth time?

Edaarin
04-03-2005, 03:02 PM
Doesn't mean it isn't viable to be a magical rogue.

If I was still playing, I could configure a level 90 rogue to have 410 and 117. Would have to sacrifice a lot of AS and almost all picking, but would be pretty nasty hunting.

Xcalibur
04-03-2005, 03:03 PM
It's impossible.

To have 40 spells a rogue need over 2600 mtps.

To have 40 spells, a ranger needs 700 mtps.

A level 40 rogue cannot surpase a level 40 ranger.

If you consider level by level.

If you don't consider levels, then your points isn't working, capiche now?

Would you enjoyed being so specialiazed?

The point of playing a rogue is to have many options to "fry" (And/or have fun)?

Average player is on the fame list: Right.

When gs3 was being transformed in gs4, they put something about a triangle showing the average player's level. Then they said the majority was considering 75 in gs3 as being the average level to be.

Then they based it on a level 75 game, remember?

The average was surely a bit lower, I'd say around level 50.

So now, I'd say the average is around 45-50

Magic rogue with 40 spells is unviable, beside if you're already 100.

Fame list: True, 3 times.

40 spells prior to 100 unviable? Tell that to Nodyre.

They changed it to 75 because it was roughly half the max cap. Not the considered average level to be.

3 time? I doubt that considering you never got above 60.

Never got above 60? ARE YOU SURE OF THAT?

The average in gs3 was SAID TO BE 75.

Yes, you've posted about your bitch wizard many atime as he was your "oldest". If I recall he was around 54-58.
