All right who's looking forward to this? I am amped for VR flying Tie Fighters. I do hope it's not as tedious as past Star Wars:Tie vs. XXXX with shield management, engine management, weapon management. I'll be playing this on Steam if anyone is interested in joining in. I'm watching it but will wait for release/reviews before making a decision. Wasn't there a demo for it at one point, or am I getting it confused with Battlefront 2? If it plays super arcadey like Battlefront/Battlefield aircraft mode I'm probably going to pass as they always feel awkward compared to something like War Thunder.

This game is a terrible let down. It was fun for a few hours, not what I was hoping for but what can you expect from EA these days? Thankfully though no microtransactions to enable shields or lasers.

That’s more than enough time to run through the story and a few hours of online play. I’d play it for free then wash my hands of it. Perhaps you might enjoy it more than I did. Fleet battles are fun for a few hours. My expectation was a true fleet battle ala Rogue One ending. Not just one capital ship and a corvette here or there. Maybe they will continue to patch it and add more depth. Thankfully you can mute everyone’s voice comms.

Brand new game on release day and you already had shit talking Billy Badass telling you how you suck. Two shit stains were going on and on at each other while our team was getting our ass handed to us. I told them to relax it’s a game. Then they railed against me. After that I went into each match with mute all. Soured my experience.

How's the campaign?
It’s fun. The story isn’t bad it felt far too short. I think the game is made more for online play with a storyline thrown in. What made it shine for me is seeing it from both sides. They force a star-fighter on you most times, with a choice of star-fighter + load out now and again. My favorite mission was flying a tie fighter through a derelict graveyard, without spoiling too much, your fleet is funneling the rebel fleet through it.
