View Full Version : You know you are a hardcore poster when...
You type your post up in Word or some other text editor using spell check.
Your posts are riddled with BB code.
You splinter quote a post and respond to each line.
You refuse to stop using your ancient BB response style.
You’ve filled out your sig, mood, have a custom title and avatar.

<<You type your post up in Word or some other text editor using spell check.>>
That just makes you a bad speller. A real hardcore poster knows how to spell things to begin with.
All the rest, unfortunately, apply to me.

The only time I can splinter-quote a post to respond to it bit by bit is when I am really, really behind my argument (assuming this would be in a debate). Otherwise I'm too lazy to bother.

You got the 5000 posts jacket.

Three checks for me. :(
However, splinter quote sounds a lot more cool than it should, so :)
p.s: There can be only one 5000 posts jacket.

Splinter quoting shit pisses me off. It just means "Please skip my entire fucking post."
Good thing I never filled out my custom title.

It's the paroxism of being a super-nerdz...
Telling other nerdz to behave, and that FOR FREE.
And worse: Those that take their roles seriously..
Come on......

Looks like that's the only one I'm guilty of. Maybe more if I knew what BB meant?

It's Bulletin Board Code, and it's the tags used on forums as opposed to HTML. I don't understand how you could not know what it is when I know you've used quote, which is BBCode.

<<It really isn't that difficult to understand the rules of basic punctuation imo.>>
It's a shame that you need a comma in this sentence.
