My favorite mobile game, hands down, is the Solomon series made by a one-man company called Raptisoft. I have played it on and off for years, and highly suggest you give it a try. They are FREE.
Essentially there are two titles in the series, with both offering the same setup and controls. The two biggest features that stand out are the controls and ability/skill system. The controls for a mobile game are so responsive, it's bananas. The ability system has a random element to it that makes for huge replayability with minimal frustration. The deets:
General Info (same for both)
- You play as one of a few different mages, each having a unique elemental attack style. They range from the cold mage that has a low dps cone attack that covers a wide area to arcane missiles that do more dps per hit but are slower to shoot, and others for fire, earth, lightning, and eventually the ability to "meld" elements for things like fire lightning or arcane fire. Each mage also has a special ability, e.g. the cold mage can freeze everything on the screen for a few secs.
Items and coins drop randomly from bosses, and can carry over to another game, so gearing up can be fun and killing the big bad boss for the tenth time still leaves you hoping for mad l00t.
Differences:
Keep is a dungeon crawl that takes you on an adventure to kill the big bad boss at the end. You can save, and start/stop when you want.
Boneyard is more like Reim Defense, in that you are in the same zone killing wave after wave of increasingly powerful mobs.
Give 'em a try when you have a mobile game itch you need to scratch.
