I want a higher level.

How do I get a higher level and more HP and stuff in the little tab below my name in each posts? I mean come on, I'm tougher than that and my HP is not even near full. Did I just get beat up? What the fuck? I demand to be at least level 1500.

As far as I know, it's a "feature" built into the XMB boards. For all intents and purposes, it is meaningless.

It's not built in...it's a mod that someone like CT will have put in during their time as administrator...or Kranar obviously.
It just adds a little bit of interest for some people, other than a plain message board. Aesthetics and all that...same as the smilies, different themes, ability to attach more than one file to a post etc...all mods to what would be otherwise a mundane, bog-standard message board.

I visited with Kranar about those little status indicators a while back and he related to me that they have have no interaction with regards to what, how much, and how often you post. They are purely for aesthetic purposes. The only thing on the left that is manipulated by your posts are the post counts and your custom name ability.

Yeah the bars are related to post count.

There was actually another version installed before and it had a level 10 cap or something to that effect. Heh. Since people here post a lot, after a short while the usual posters were going to all be capped and it would look boring. So I changed it to another version that has a higher level, although I forget what the highest level was.
