a slender silver ribbon pin falls under category clothing and jewerly

You analyze your silver ribbon pin and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions.

The creator has also provided the following information:
This item may be altered by a talented merchant, provided it remains mechanical in nature.

Somewhere along the lines, the gears inside of a slender silver ribbon pin got worn down and broke! Perhaps a merchant can help you out with that -- but only one with the right skills!

You get no sense of whether or not the pin may be further lightened.

Zest:

The following may be zests:
tap: As you tap your silver ribbon pin, it emits a faint whirring sound.
turn: Couldn't detect anything, you may have been lagging. Try performing verb later.
wear: Couldn't detect anything, you may have been lagging. Try performing verb later.

You put on a slender silver ribbon pin.
>turn my pin
The small wheel behind a slender silver ribbon pin refuses to budge

LOOK AT:

A slender ribbon fashioned from polished silver wraps its ends about two very different objects. On one end, a crescent moon is easily captured around its widest middle point. Its surface has been slightly pitted and allowed to tarnish to create a realistic depiction of a lunar body. The other end of the ribbon wraps itself around an equally tarnished stallion. His head is harnessed, but the ropes hang free, as if he has recently gotten loose from his mistress

As i said Im am trying to figure out what this item is if anyone can help...

interesting piece. I don't recall every seeing verbs in an analyze that are dynamic like this one appears to be. I wonder what this means "turn: Couldn't detect anything, you may have been lagging. Try performing verb later."? Does it change under different circumstances?

Not positive, but I think it might be one of those noisemaker pins from years ago that have to be repaired by a GM.

I could be wrong but that is probably output from ;zesttest or a script like it.

It doesn't change at all and it won't until it's fixed by a merchant. It's been doing same thing for years ever since I've found it. It's been broke and never worked
