If making a TWC rogue I wanted to make him Use a dagger in right hand and troll-claw in left
I want him to ambush
hide so how is this
2x arm
2xtwc
2x edged
2x cm
2x ambush
2x brawling
2x hide
2x per( Dont know if I need it that high)
and 2x Survival and First aid for skining
What do you think?

You're forgetting PT, it'll determine your redux. Should at least single in it.
No dodging?
Some ranks of MOC can be fun too.
Yeah I forgot to put im 2x pt and Dodge
I think IM going to drop the brawling and do two daggers.
Do rogues get a bonus when useing daggers. And is a dagger a nice ambush weapon?

It swings fast, 3 seconds.
Do dagger sux? Terribly.
Check their DF and compare it with the ending roll you need to get a level 8 crit on eyes (automatic death since a level 4 is a death)
You'll see a HUGE end roll needed.
And that's for clothes/soft leathers
Against chain/plate, it's almost impossible.
:?:I Just dont know what to do I want to be a good ambusher And Im thinking maybe go with THW. I have a Good Bastard sword I can get my hands on. Can Rogues please tell me What they use and how it works for them

Take 2 short swords and pick up your monsters... Nothing heavy armored.
With short swords, you can do some damage and hopefully get that death crits and they swing fast.
Always aim for the eyes!

basically, if you're going ambushing, take along two shortswords, aim for the head/neck/eyes, it'll be 5 seconds unencumbered, which isn't bad seeing as though you will be killing, mostly.
Going up against chain and better armor will be a pain, keep a falchion around for that.
two daggers will get you through lvl 10 just fine, and sometimes its nice to have daggers/main gauches in case you get too encumbered.
just remember 2x PT is crucial to taking hits, especially around lvl 20 - 30, possibly even higher.
either go edged or brawling, not both. too expensive.
get some dodge, (2x if you can manage) and try to get 30 - 35 ranks of MOC, it's worth the cost.

I always made my TWCer pick up 1x shield later on so that if I had to go up against something big or a swarm I could just use a shield and handaxe. Just a thought.

Hiding is the best defensive strategy.:P
Okay and What about Ranged?

I would concentrate on dropping one of the weapon classes and picking up PT and dodge. Dodge especially helps because you won't have a shield.

Gemstone has the big flaw of being one thing only.
If you want 2 weapon styles, you lose a HUGE amount of tps to be used for your secondary skills.
:drunk: And what If I want to go Ranged I hear that A ranged Rogue is the best

Personally.. I would stick with twc and go just edged. Archery is nice, but against armor it sucks.

Short swords would be great, and you'd used a falchion+main gauche against heavily geared folks
Short swords are awesome but daggers are definately doable. You just have to be a little selective with what you hunt.
:spaz: Just to Change it up a Bit.. I Decided to be ranged.
Now I am Train 5 and in EN what sould I hunt around here that will be easy/fast EXP anyone?
And thanks for the info/post/help

Do snakes and whatever else is in that area I think thyrills. Then when you can handle it do urghs. You're going to under hunt for a few trains until you're nasty enough to up hunt.

Looks pretty good to me. You might want to lower 2x FA/Survival to 1x and start saving up for spells.
Might just do that.. I just didnt think rogues used spells

Some Rogues go up to 410, to be able to e-wave. That and the ability to mstrike, or use smastery and ambush usually takes care of most problems.

Just as an additional, some rogues know WoF, and a good few know 425 as well.
As for your training Razorfish, I'd dump Thrown and tank Dodging. Your DS won't improve much over time if you only 1x. Most normal shield using rogues 2x, so you can see where you will be losing out.
