I understand the complaint.. I think the spell is stupid.. much like the one the empaths have that scroll the screen with the cs vs td mass shit.

But it looked very much in character for him to cast it at that moment. I would have been far more offended if he were to simply walk in and cast the spell just for the screen scroll effect.. like many empaths did when they first got their spell.

The above translates into, "I'm a whiney little girl that can't handle negative things in an RP enviroment". Please turn off Gemstone and go play Final Fantasy (or some other single player RPG) where things will go your way. What that character did was completely valid as far as role-playing goes.

I dunno... why would you make a spell like that a mass player spell honestly?

Why not make it a critter only spell? Seems like that could be very dangerous, if not more so than 410, while hunting, as well as a great mechanic for someone to act a snert with.

Should have just cut off his head, showed him his bleeding stump and been like... "There, now you're with your god of Blood." or some other anti-heroish line. ...or you could always leave the room if the person is pissing you off that much.

But why does anyone who's 40+ spend any time in Icemule? I know I avoid entering town on my way to the rift. The only reason is to phuck with NOOBS

Landceal is pretty good about being killed when he does that kind of stuff. It's not like he would cry and take his toys him if someone offed him for it.

You're also all forgetting that the main portion of this spell is simply a 5 to at most 15% DS reduction of a player or a critter. It only freezes and makes you kneel for a very short time if you're a significant amount of levels below the person.

Having used it in hunting areas, ive hit two people on accident (bad timing of run throughs) and neither of them kneeled and a simple sorry and everyone goes on their way.

I dont think the cast was out of hand or overly damaging. It is far from a mass bind, as it's unlikely to bind in the first place and only lasts for maybe 30 seconds. I understand being pissed if you didnt want to be involved, but I don't believe it's something so drastic that needs to be nerfed, it's a pretty sad spell as it is.
