GMNaijin@Gillien 1. reviewing maneuver effectiveness (increasing lethality in general) 2. converting CML rolls to SMRv2 3. cost point adjustments (generally a boost for squares) and profession review 4. melee specific maneuvers that are both powerful and "for free" tied to weapon training 5. ... a few more phases i'm not comfortable talking about yet.

Looks like a major buff to warriors, bout it.

Lol. For what it's worth they've talked about adjusting 720.

I just wish they would make shields actually block or help block a lot of these manuevers. Right now this big metal wall in front of me doesn’t help any in defending anything on that list.

Shields do help vs some maneuvers, but I would like to see defense against maneuvers more closely tied to defensive skills.

Yes this, it would finally move us away from the THW or TWC at cap or bust mentality.

Wait, I'm not supposed to be using a shield at cap?

With the level of gear you have access to Ardwen, you could be specced in nothing and still do well.

If anything would help shields get used more at cap, it will be ascension. Specifically ascension tuned hunting areas. Having a full spellup and uber gear on things tuned to be killed by level 95 to barely post cap characters does make them kinda useless. Actually challenging areas might bring back the value prop.

I use a shield all the time. Maybe I should try hunting more challenging areas.

You are going to start hunting Roblar now Kerl? Because honestly that is about all there is beyond where you are now.

What kind of loot can you expect from a Roblar? Asking for a friend.

I'm excited to see what ascension brings but also the idea of revamping stamina and mstrike as a means of overhauling combat sounds great. Plus it means it'll be easier to tweak those values in ascension. ALSO...what it means for the paladin review
