No one is going to stop us from turning back, from taking a break, from giving up.
No one is going to shoot us,
no one is going to arrest us,
no one is even going to keep track.
We don't deserve this.
No one ever has.
But sometimes, someone has had the chance to turn back,
has had the chance to take a break,
has had the chance to give up,
and hasn't.
In twenty years, someone might ask which side were you on when the waters rose, when the walls fell, when the enemy was at the gate,
and they'll believe you either way.
The vaccine won't be the end.
It won't even be the beginning of the end.
This is the beginning of the end.
Now.
Today.
We can push ourselves closer to the edge,
and we can pull ourselves further back.
We can pull as hard as we can, and it might not matter,
and we know it...
and we can pull anyway.

None of us are important.
None of us could have put a man on the moon.
None of us could have socked old Adolf in the jaw.
And not all of us were on board with those things in the first place.
But when enough of us get together, every once in awhile,
in the face of chaos, and death, and random evil that comes out of nowhere and rips us to shreds,
we can do something really important, something that really matters.
Like the man said, there is something good in this world.
And it's worth fighting for.
