Does anyone have any idea what the future might hold for Paladins? Do you think, or are there any rumors, that they might get some sort of ability like monks just got?
I'm debating continuing on with my Paladin but certainly wouldn't want to walk away before the role out some epic update. Any thoughts?

Nothing solid, but there's definitely at least one NiR who's poking around at the profession... http://forums.play.net/forums/GemStone%20IV/Professions/Paladin/thread/1921518?get_newest=true

Name in red, meaning a GM on the officials.

There was a lot of talk on discord as well when all of the paladin survey results were coming out. Sounds like some impetus to work on them, bit no details yet on what it might look like.

Not a paladin but imo many of their skills feel awkward and cumbersome. I would love to see at a minimum blessing, sanctify, bonding, and flares have another look. Bows were changed for a few reasons, one of which is we can now add more abilities to them but paladins have to sacrifice flares to get weighing, one of the classes defining abilities.
Imbuing spells is awkward and weird.
Huge overlap with sanctify and bonding.
Give these peeps some love

Word on the street is that the whole blessing v. undead system is going to get reworked.

That'd be nice.

Not sure if a good idea really, and it touches on some systems already in place - but a unique "aura" system would be interesting.
Paladins already have group buffs which are extremely nice. Perhaps a continuous "aura" based upon training or deity selection? It would not require casting, it would always be "active", it would apply to anyone that joins the paladins group.
Examples (with horrible names):
Shield of Ivas: Generates an aura that provides +5 CS to the paladin and their group
Shield of Kai: Generates an aura that provides +5 AS to the paladin and their group
Shield of Voln: Generates an aura that provides +10 MB to the paladin and their group
etc.
Not sure on the above, but an idea.
Additionally would like to see paladins able to apply +TD to armor similar to enchanting/ensorcelling within the confines of the armor system.
