Make sure the cloth is damp, not wet, and press down firmly for 30 seconds.

they are just pumping out sick changes! My hope is that with this done they work on Sanctify! My level 9 monk is going to get some extra playing time!

Tattoos now come in two flavors, Mundane and Mystic. Mundane is any pre-existing tattoo that anyone's ever gotten except for maybe some scripted stuff like dwarf empath tattoos. Monks can either 1)put a new Mundane on you or 2)Make a Mundane into a Mystic, which is enhancive.

Probably a dumb question, but when you hit 20 as a monk, do you suddenly know a whole list of mundane tattoos, or is there some process you have to go through to learn them?

You can just use any flash tattoo from the list, same one the automated tattoo wagon uses. There is a list on the wiki or scripts like ;tattoolist if you want to search through it.
